General overview
Our family home is bright, modern and spacious. There is a large garden with swimming pool, climbing frame and little vegetable garden, overlooking nice landscape. There are 3 children bedrooms, parents bedroom, little office, kitchen with dining area, lounge and three bathrooms. From the lounge you enter covered patio so you can enjoy sitting in the garden even in the rain. The house is passive, so has steady temperature throughout the year, which is especially handy in the summer.
Notes
Our house is located near Marianske Valley which is well known for mountain bike single trails. If you are a MTB lover like my husband, you will not be disappointed.
If not, you can still go there for a lovely walk around lakes and forests and I am sure the children will love bobsleigh track and a play in a park. You will find few cool caves here too.

Neighbourhood
We live in a small and quiet village, in a small valley surrounded by greenery. You wouldn't know that just behind a big hill there is a second largest city in the Czech republic, Brno. Our children can happily play on the streets or playground with children from the neighborhood and we know they are safe. Everyone kind of knows everyone here and there hasn't been any crime here for years.
There is a small village shop with fresh bakeries and the basic items, tennis court, playground. For bigger shopping you need to drive about 10 min.
Getting to my home
There is a bus going to town center which takes about 20 minutes. Although for shopping and exploring the area around Brno I would recommend hiring a car. Car hire is very cheap in Czech (so is beer btw) so don't let that put you of. If you just want to explore the city of Brno, you don't need a car.
Nearest airport
Our home is 10 min drive from the airport.

We are a happy family of 5, with two girls (9, 12) and a boy (4). We love to travel but our younger daughter has leukemia so last year has been very challenging and travel free. Luckily she is towards the end of her journey and we can soon start enjoying life and travelling again.
We live in Czech Republic, in a small village 15 min away from second largest city called Brno.
My husband is English and I am originally from Czech, although I have lived in the UK for 18 years, where we've met and where our two girls were born.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community.
