Neighbourhood
The home is located in sought after residential area of Starkey Ranch, 30 minutes North of downtown Tampa, on more than 2,400 acres adjacent to the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Preserve.
There are more than 12 miles of wide paved trails, part of the planned 20-mile trail system within the community, where we run and bike regularly. Soon the trails will connect with the amazing nature trails in the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Preserve as well as its 6.7-mile paved trail that connects to the 42-mile Suncoast Trail.
There are parks galore!!:
District Park is for sports and recreation.
Cunningham Park is for gathering, gardening and getting out on the water.
Whitfield Park and Homestead Park have playgrounds and big lawns for running, tumbling and picnics. (Park pool access will be excluded for HomeExchangers but that’s ok because the house has its own pool 😊)
Closest to the home (about 2 blocks) is Albritton Park with picnic area and playground.
It is also centrally located to many Florida attractions - Clearwater Beach, Tampa Riverwalk, Weeki Wachee Springs, Busch Gardens, Legoland, St. Pete, etc.
Nearest airport
The house is located approximately 30 minutes from Tampa international airport and 45 minutes from Saint Pete/Clearwater international airport Less flight options).
Getting Around
While there are some options (Starkey market, salon and pizza restaurant) within walking distance, a car is most beneficial.
We are also open to exchange of a car (Toyota Highlander) which will depend on our travel plans. ;)
