We had a great exchange with Carrell and Marty. The house is exceptional with all the beautiful art inside and out. They also left us some very nice treats
There are many things to do in and around Taos.
Carrell and Marty were so wonderful that they let us stay while my husband was in the hospital. They came to see us there, cooked a delicious meal and let us stay two extra nights, they didn't want us to leave......
Thank you, Carrell and Marty for all the support you have given us. You did that even after you had been traveling for two days to get home from your own exchange.
What a fantastic time we had in New Mexico! And this is not least thanks to the lovely couple Carrell and Marty. Their enthusiasm to receive us made us forget the tiredness of traveling. They picked us up from the station and we were able to spend the night for our adventure with their camper. For the exchange we could choose between their beautifully located and very nicely decorated house, with lots of art, or the charming vintage camper "Vanna". We chose the camper and we didn't regret it, but we would also like to stay in their beautiful house, maybe another time. Carrell and Marty gave us all the necessary tips and useful information. Since we had 3 days, we chose the beautiful mountains in the north. To choose is normally to lose. But Carrell and Marty suggested that we combine our last day's visit to Georgia O'Keeffe's summer home with a drive along the most beautiful canyons. They are very kind, hospitable, generous and wise people, with an interesting and inspiring life path. They contributed immensely to making our stay an unforgettable experience. We came as strangers, as guests, but we left as friends. We'll be back, that's for sure. Thanks for everything and xelkom in Tinos!
We miss you guys a lot! What a cool experience. Please let us know how the holidays in Tinos go! Come back anytime, you are welcome!
Sometimes at home exchange you meet people and they become friends. Carrell and Marty are such kind of people. We had dinner together, talked for hours and laughed a lot. When we came back to our house they cooked us dinner and we had a great time again. We brought them to the station the next day and promised each other to meet again. Thanks Carrell and Marty for your company and friendship. It was great!
We had the great pleasure of hosting Carrell and Marty in our apartment and could not have asked for a better experience. They were kind, friendly, and very easy to communicate with throughout their stay. The apartment was left impeccably clean and well cared for, and we were touched by their thoughtful gesture of leaving a lovely painting and some small treats for us. It was truly a delightful exchange, and we would gladly welcome them back anytime. We recommend them most highly to other hosts.
Carrell and her husband spent short time in our studio. They were very nice and left gifts for us. I recommend them.
So lovely to meet these guys who were our first ever guests through PLU. Perfect guests, just a pity our place wasn't available for a longer period for them. Loved learning about who they were and the interesting places they have lived and travelled to. Hope they enjoyed their stay and exploring our Island of Rarotonga.
We are so happy that we met Carell and Marty through PeopleLikeUs. They were wonderful and generous guests. We were delighted to host them in our home in Tinos after our own amazing stay in New Mexico. They came to our home in Tinos with their grandson and a friend of their grandson which is soo lovely and really typical Carrell and Marty, social and caretaking. They let us share in their adventures and discoveries during the home exchange. It was a great experience to do this home exchange with them and we hope to see them again soon, wherever that may be. Thank you Carrell and Marty for the surprise presents and cards with beautiful words we discovered in our home.
This sweet couple spent some days in our home in Conil. We have been in touch in order to arrange all the details.
Almost every day we exchanged messages with their trips in Conil and surroundings.
Don’t hesitate in host them.
Carrell and Marty, I wish you a lot of successful exchanges.
We had a wonderful exchange with Indre and Josh. From the first communication, it was easy and pleasant. The directions to get into the apartment looked like they might be confusing, but the when followed, entry was easy. There are a few steps to the elevator and in the hallway near the apartment, but we are in our 70s and managed well. The apartment is charming and obviously for musical people! Although small, the huge windows looking to the park made the apartment feel spacious. Near two bus lines and close to a market it was easy to get around in this unfamiliar to us neighborhood. The Information packet was detailed and appreciated. The treats were appreciated toooooo! I would love to meet this interesting couple someday. Best wishes, Carrell
What a wonderful PLUTO exchange! This little studio apartment has everything you could want for a lovely stay. The location is perfect, the bed comfy, great kitchen with coffee machines, TV, washer/dryer... Best of all is that is was Anna Marie's art studio previously and there are painting and pottery she created in there. Akureyri was a perfect choice to visit Iceland. Thank you Anna Maria for the exchange and for the magnets with your paintings. Best wishes, Carrell & Marty
❤️ Thank you 😊
We loved having George and Mieke! Due to a health issue, they stayed a couple of extra days and we got to meet them and get to know them!
Our house was clean or cleaner than we left it, but with some nice gifts! All in all, a very thoughtful, fun couple who were wonderful guests even faced with a serious problem! We would never hesitate to have them visit again.
We look forward to meeting up with Mieke and George in Arnham!
What a wonderful home exchange! We were privileged to be their first home exchange!
Communication was fast and helpful! Arranged to have us met at the airport and from the minute we walked into the house, we felt at home! The house is a short walk to the beach and snorkeling and the grounds are lovely. We had a car, but the bus stops very near. Lots of books, games, water equipment and a kayak are available near the pool.
The kitchen is great and the bedrooms are comfy and large. The bed was comfortable as well as the living room.
We enjoyed an evening with Eve and Brent and loved their dedication to the Cook Islands.
This was a globe exchange, but I would love to host Eve and Brent any time! I am sure they will be hugely successful PLU members and traders!
If you get a chance to visit, don't hesitate, you will love the home and the island and the hosts.
We had a wonderful time on Tinos! The home has wonderful views and is very comfortable with 3 terraces! It is just want you want in Greece! Saddie and Bart were the best hosts ever. Arranged for pick up at the dock with a car! The kitchen was well equipped and it was just a lovely home. There were 4 of us (2 grandsons 20 and 21) and it was roomy. Walk to the beach. We explored the lovely island by car, so many little villages. Great food.
This was my favorite kind of home exchange, where we are all friends after. Unexpected places lead to great adventures.
I would recommend this lovely Tinos charm for anyone going to Greece.
Thank you for the fun! Carrell & Marty
A wonderful Home Exchange! One of the best ever! Gemma was so welcoming and “right there” for questions and talks. The home was better than described, immaculate, bright and the view from the kitchen window make you want to cook! However the location near restaurants and tapas bars and gelato makes it difficult to find time! The guest information book was great. WiFi was super. Great central location in Andalusia to visit White Cities ... Cádiz and Ronda.
Coffee, sugar, teas and basic cooking supplies were ample and shared. The whole home was well equipped.
The Welcome gift made us feel at home. The spirit of home exchanges was well honored. Thank you.
Saddie and Bart are two interesting, lovely people who we enjoyed meeting and learning about each other's lives! They spent two "hospitality" nights with us (new for us and comfortable) and three nights in our Camper Van in the mountains. We visited The Ghost Ranch and Santa Fe together as well. It was difficult to even see they had been in the Van or guest room when they left! Clean, polite, great conversationalists and gift givers -- I hope they willl return. If there was a number to choose, it would be a 10+! Best wishes to this amazing couple and we look forward to our first trip to Greece, in Tinos!
