General overview
Enjoy a home away from home in a bright, cosy and comfortable house. Moycullen in Galway is the perfect base to unwind and relax and to explore Connemara, Galway city or the coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.
The space
My home is an end of terrace house on a quiet terrace. Although the house is situated in a housing estate and just a few minutes walk to the shops, there is lots of green and trees in front of and behind the house making it feel very calm and restful.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms in the house - all with double beds but I will just make two rooms available as the third room is very small and I use it to store things in the wardrobe etc. and it is handy to have another space you can leave stuff to keep your bedrooms clear while you're staying.
The house is ideally suited to 3-4 people max.
The main bedroom is en-suite (with toilet and shower) and there is another bathroom with a bath tub.
Downstairs there is a kitchen and a large living room. The house is bright and feels very airy.

Neighbourhood
Moycullen is a lovely village approximately 10km from Galway city on the west coast of Ireland, which is situated on the famous Wild Atlantic Way.
Galway city is a vibrant city with lots of great cultural attractions, award-wining restaurants and independent shops.
Salthill - a seaside resort with beaches and restaurants is just a few minutes drive from Galway city or a 15 min drive from Moycullen.
Getting to my home
Moycullen is about a 15min drive from Galway city. It's best to travel by car. While you can walk to the shops from my house, if you want to explore the area or go into Galway city, it's best to have a car.

Getting around
Moycullen is very well serviced with shops, a playground, some nice cafes and restaurants and there is also an activity centre called Wildlands close by. Galway city and the sea is just a 15min drive away and you can be in the heart of Connemara in 30 minutes.

Good food, good conversation, arts and culture, the sea, nature and my little doggie are all things that make my heart sing.
After spending 10 years away from Galway, I fell back in love with it when I returned to live here. I love living in Moycullen because it's close to the sea and just a 30 min drive to Connemara and the Burren in Co. Clare is also just a 45min drive away. I have worked in the arts and culture sector for almost 20 years. My work is varied and I enjoy meeting different types of people.
I try to adopt a healthy and nourishing attitude to life. I like to eat well, do yoga and take the occasional dip in the sea.
I've travelled extensively so I know the value of a home away from home when you're on the road. I hope you'll feel at home in my little spot.
