General overview
We live in a stone house in a small, quiet hamlet, in the countryside and 5 minutes from the sea. It is the old bakery of a farmhouse which has been extended and restored.
The space
Our house is located on the north coast of Cotentin, in the Manche department. It is a beautiful region, with many beaches and hiking trails where life is good.
Our house is located 10 minutes from the town of Cherbourg and 5 minutes from the charming little port of Becquet with all the local shops (supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, doctor, etc.).
The house is located on the heights, which allows you to see the sea from the garden or upstairs.
It is an old house; the rooms are small but warm with exposed stone.
There are two living rooms, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower and toilet on the ground floor. The upper floor has 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom with 1 160x200 bed, 1 bedroom with 1 140x190 bed and the other bedroom with 2 90x190 single beds) as well as a bathroom with bathtub and toilet.
Having 3 children aged 7, 4 and 2, the house is full of toys and books for little ones!
We have a small garden enclosed by a low stone wall where there is a terrace to enjoy the sunny days and a wooden shed where the bicycles, outdoor games, barbecue, etc. are stored.
We are surrounded by fields and a few stone houses which gives a calm and relaxing environment.
Guest access
The house has one floor accessible by a staircase at each end.
There is space available behind the house to park cars.

Neighbourhood
The place where we live is a small residential hamlet located on the heights of the small port of Becquet.
You can go down on foot or by bike to the port via paths but the climb back is a bit "sporty".
A car is essential to access the house and explore the surrounding area.
Getting to my home
Cherbourg train station is located about 15 minutes from the house. There is the possibility of renting a car nearby.
There are direct trains from Paris to Cherbourg: approximately 3h30 journey time.
Nearest airport
Caen-Carpiquet airport is located 1h30 from the house.
