The house is located in the village center. This means that you have access from the house to a bakery, a gourmet grocery store, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a doctor's surgery, a butcher. 3 restaurants are also present on the village square: a gourmet new cuisine restaurant, an Italian restaurant (pizza, pasta...), a traditional French restaurant. The city of Samois-sur-Seine welcomed the jazzman Django Reinhardt during the last years of his life. The cemetery of Samois accommodates his burial. You can also see his house located below the village, near the Seine, less than 10 min walk from my house. The house is located 6km from Fontainebleau, the city of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte where the food shops and the cultural offer are particularly rich. The Fontainebleau forest, one of the largest in Europe, is within walking distance from the house. Many outdoor activities (equestrian, climbing, hiking, cycling, rowing, tennis...) are within walking distance from the house. A car is recommended to enjoy the region but a bus is also available from the village square to take you to the stations of Fontainebleau and Bois-le-Roi.
