Humbug Scrub Studio Retreat is perfect for 1 or 2 people only for a getaway weekend or a week or 2.
Surrounded by beautiful flora & fauna, Humbug Scrub, South Australia is situated in the northern region of the Adelaide Hill's, and is a gateway to the 'world renown' wine regions of the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and Clare Valley. This makes it heaven for the wine lovers as there are literally 100's of wineries in every direction you turn, 3 of which are within 5km from our home.
We are situated 40km North of the Adelaide CBD and only 5km to the nearest towns.
Lovely day trips will take you through the winding roads of the Adelaide Hills, east to the mighty River Murray region, north to the outback towns, south and west to the coast.
The space
Humbug Scrub Studio Retreat is a self contained studio with a new king mattress, ensuite, kitchen inside & outside & laundry, heating/cooling, TV. There are plenty of places to rest & admire the views of the property.
Not suitable for children or pets.

This studio room can be available when the hosts are staying in their own home. Guests have separate access to the studio.
The owners will be in the Homestead (10acre property) ready to assist with information for your holiday but will be discreet & give you your privacy at all times. They will be maintaining the property.
The owners have 4 chickens (fresh eggs) 2 Alpacas & 1 very friendly & loveable old dog called 'Red'.

Wineries, rolling hills, towns within 5min drive. Bushland, forests & parks surround the Humbug Scrub property with mobs of kangaroos , birds & wildlife calling it their home too.
Getting to my home
Fly into Adelaide Airport, 1hr drive North from airport to the property (approx 40km). Situated in the Adelaide Hills close to towns called One Tree Hill (8km) & Kersbrook (5km)
You will require a car as there is no public transport to the house. Closest public transport are buses in One Tree Hill .

Car is required to get around.
Hiking paths can be accessed directly from the property. Downhill bike riding tracks within 5min drive.

G'day from Australia
My husband Peter & I are totally new to home exchange's but we're fortunate to have travelled alot of our own country Australia. We like travelling remotely as much as we can in our van. We enjoy the outdoors, meeting people , adventure & discovering unique places. We are semi retired, have 3 adult children & 2 grandchildren. Our eldest son lives in Whistler BC and due to the world travel restrictions of recent years, it's been quite a while since we have seen him. We're hoping People Like Us home exchange can help us see him again soon 😊. We're also looking forward to discovering a little bit of Europe along the way .
