General Overview

We love our home. It is a comfy 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 storey brick home with good living areas and a well equipped kitchen. We have a large balcony looking to bush land on one side and a sweet porch and courtyard garden on the other. Downstairs has the option to be self contained with full bathroom and kitchenette. We are located 20 minutes by train from Sydney city, 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Cronulla Beach. Hurstville Station is a 15 minute walk from our house.

The Space

The house has 2 storeys. The UPPER LEVEL has an open plan living/ dining space and kitchen which open to a large balcony with gas bbq and sitting area looking out to bushland. An additional sitting room separates the bedrooms from the living areas. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed. A second bedroom has a day bed that can be a single bed or extended to be a queen sized bed. These rooms have an outlook to a pretty front cottage garden. A small bathroom sits beside the bedrooms. The LOWER LEVEL has a third double bedroom with a queen sized bed, full bathroom including a large bath and kitchenette/laundry. A large patio has a bbq and connects the lower level to a garden with fruit trees and veggie patch. The lower level can be self contained and available separately at times to be agreed.

Neighbourhood

Hurstville offers a fabulous choice of authentic, good quality Asian restaurants with a special focus in Chinese (Cantonese) food. We are totally spoilt for choice! Sydney city with all it has to offer is well served by public transport and is a 20 minute train journey from Hurstville. We have access to good shopping, with Westfield Shopping Centres in Hurstville and Miranda. Both shopping centres include cinemas. Beaches are well located. Cronulla and its sister beaches South Cronulla, Wanda, and Shelley Beach are easily accessed by train or car, being approx 20 minutes away and offer surf, beautiful ocean pools, picnic areas and lovely walks. We have reserves and parks nearby, with Poulton Park adjoining our home, Oatley Bush Park a short 10 minute drive, and the beautiful Royal National Park a 30 minute drive.

Getting to my home

If arriving to Sydney by air, a taxi takes about 20 minutes from Sydney Airport, or a train service is available from the domestic or international airports to Hurstville Station. Hurstville Station is a 15 minute walk from our home. As well as Sydney Airport, it provides access to the City (20 minutes), Sydney's Eastern Suburbs including Bondi Junction (30 minutes), Cronulla and its beaches (20 minutes), and NSW South Coast. By car, we have convenient access from M5.

Getting Around

South Hurstville has a small shopping centre and is 10 minutes walk from our home. Hurstville has a large shopping centre and is a 15 minute walk from home.
