General overview
Our home is in an amazing part of Austin TX. There are several parks only 1-3 blocks from our front door. We have a supermarket, movie theater, stores, Children's Museum, swimming pools and restaurants also in walking distance. To see the rest of the city there is public transportation nearby. We are 3.5 miles from downtown Austin where you can see the capitol building and also the university of Texas campus. If you want to explore more of Texas, driving to San Antonio to see the Alamo is good for a day trip (about 1.5 hr drive). Also visiting Houston (2.5 hr drive) is possible also. There are small towns near Austin that are nice to explore.
The space
The ground floor of our home is an open living space with dining table (space for 6 chairs), small living area with a couch and chairs. Also a kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. There is a bathroom (no shower) downstairs. Also the garage space with our bikes.
The home is 3 bedrooms they are all on the second level. The main bedroom has a queen bed with ensuite bathroom. The other bedrooms belong to the kids and one has a twin bed, the other has a twin bed with a second twin mattress underneath. The two smaller rooms share a bathroom in the hallway.
Guest access
The house is on two levels and has one flight of stairs. Entryway has several steps to enter the home.
Notes
We have a dog (which will not be there during the stay but some dog hair may be present in the home). Dog is not allowed on second level where rooms. We are non-smoking.

Hello! We are a family living in Austin, Texas. We have two kids, Santiago (age 15) and Lucia (age 12) and a sweet dog named River. We love to travel and would like to get more travel abroad. Aaron and Sofia were part of SERVAS when they were in their 20s and traveled in Europe meeting some wonderful people through that group. When Sofia was a child her family did several reciprocal exchanges and that’s why we’d love to try one for our family. We'd like to bring our well behaved dog along occasionally.
