Hi, We are a French-Canadian family of 4 and are living in a environmentally friendly ranch in Queretaro called Las Pawlonias, Santa Rosa. It is like a huge ''privada'' (private community). We live in a small house, surrounded by mountains, with only one close neighbor. We have a spa. Wi-fi works perfectly (Starlink). It is a cozy house, pet and kids friendly but nothing fancy.
We have two small rescues dogs that are super sweet, meek and mild and does not require much care other then food and love. However, they often travel with us. We also have an indoor-outdoor cat who has is own little door and only need to have is bowl refilled.
The most interesting feature about our location is the THCorner, a 3 minute walk on the ranch (TheHomeSchoolingCorner). Children between 3 and 18 can attend classes, courses, activities and workshops, full or partial time, 5 days a week, from 9 AM to 2 PM. No need of prior experience or requirment of any kind. Children dont even need to speak Spanish, they will learn it easily there. It is very affordable and open all year long (one week off at Christmas and one week off easter). (More informations on request but a 5 day/week is 250US/month)
The space
Queretaro is a medium city of a million where you can find outlets like Walmart and Costco within a 20 minutes drive from home with no heavy traffic in sight. It is considered a very safe and family oriented city. The weather is semi-desertic. It means it is ALWAYS stable, every day is sunny, cold at night (around 55), between 60 and 80 during the day, and goes down again. Super dry. No humidity or sticky or mold smell. However, very important to remember, even if this is Mexico, there is no beach around Queretaro, the nearest beach command a five hour drive; Queretaro doesn't offer a tropical weather.
