General Overview

Chiayi is a quiet town in southern Taiwan, home to the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum and nearby the famous Alishan, renowned for its breathtaking sunrises and mountain hiking trails. Our location is exceptionally convenient—just a 10-minute walk to the Chiayi High-Speed Rail (HSR) station. From here, you can easily reach Tainan or Kaohsiung in under 20 minutes to enjoy local street food and stylish Taiwanese cafés. Heading north, Taichung is only 30 minutes away, and Taipei is just 1.5 hours away, making day trips anywhere on the island remarkably easy. Inside the HSR station, you will also find various car rental options offering flexible hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly rates at very reasonable prices—making it super easy to rent a car and drive up to explore Chiayi's famous mountain scenery. This seamless connectivity is what we love most about living here. Due to the surrounding semiconductor plant expansions, many international engineers live in our residential complex. The building features excellent amenities—including a gym, swimming pool, KTV room, billiard room, and free parking—all of which you are welcome to use. With a diverse international community, basic English communication is smooth, and key building announcements are often provided in English. Inside our apartment, you’ll find everything you need for daily life. We have a deep appreciation for Japanese aesthetics, so the home carries a warm, soothing Japanese vibe—we hope you enjoy your stay!

The Space

Living Room: A cozy space to relax and watch YouTube or Netflix using a portable projector. It features two large work tables, one of which is a wooden desk equipped with an external computer monitor for your use. In addition, the hidden built-in storage beneath the Japanese tatami mat contains two single foldable mattresses, providing comfortable sleeping space for two extra guests. Bedroom: Fitted with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. Dining & Kitchen Area: Includes a small dining table and a compact kitchen. Balconies: Features both front and rear balconies.

Guest Access

The elevator, main building door, and apartment door all use magnetic card access. We'll leave a magnetic card for you in our mailbox. You can get the card by opening the lockbox attached to the mailbox using a code.

1. Take off shoes indoors 2. No smoking indoors; there will be a detection 3. No eating or drinking on the tatami mats.

Neighbourhood

At first glance, the immediate neighborhood may seem quiet rather than bustling. However, if you appreciate residing in a tranquil, scenic setting within a fully equipped modern complex and heading out for daytime adventures, you will love this balanced lifestyle! Getting around locally is also super easy: a 15-minute ride on a shared bike will bring you to local supermarkets, bakeries, cafés, Starbucks, and McDonald’s. Food delivery services work seamlessly here, giving you access to delicious eats from Chiayi city center. Additionally, there is a direct bus right below our building heading straight into downtown Chiayi, where a vibrant world of local culinary delights awaits!

Getting to my home

When you arrive at Taipei Taoyuan Airport, you can take the High-Speed Rail directly to Chiayi Station. From there, it's just a ten-minute walk to our building here in Taibao. If you have luggage, you can easily grab a yellow taxi right outside the HSR station – it will cost around NT$100.
