General Overview

Beautiful craftsman themed Castaic home perfect for traveling families. The home features new floors, tasteful paint, new beds & remodeled kitchen. Located close to the fwy (30 sec drive) but with no fwy noise. PERFECT home for families with kids traveling on the 5 fwy who'd like to avoid sketchy hotels. VERY kid friendly. Cheaper & more comfortable than hotels with kids. The house has additionally been equipped with a Water Filter System. Every faucet and shower has clean, chemical and odor-free water.

The Space

Cribs, high chairs, pack n' plays, toys...we've got it all. Additionally, there is a large custom tree-house in the backyard. It's every child's dream fort with a giant twisty slide, 2 swings and fun obstacle "ninja warrior" mini- course. People come to our area to visit major Los Angeles attractions. But accommodations inside LA proper aren't typically kid-friendly. We are right next to Castaic Lake and Magic Mountain.

Guest Access

Our home is a single-story home that shares a space with a separate tiny home (https://peoplelikeus.world/en/properties/12840). Depending on the schedule, there may be Airbnb / VBRO guests near. These guests have their own entrance and there are no shared spaces. But the other guests will park in front of the main home.

Notes

We have an american mastiff puppy that we will likely board when we leave town. The entire property is NO smoking. Even in the backyard. If you are a heavy smoker - this isn't the place for you. The odor lingers on clothes and belongings and my oldest son is highly sensitive to strong odors. Additionally, we kindly ask you don't bring diffusers. The scents are too strong and the oils have previously damaged our woodworking and linens.

Our home is in Northern Los Angeles county and minutes from the world-famous Six Flags Magic Mountain. 2 minutes to Castaic Lake 9 minutes to Magic Mountain 10 minutes to Valencia / Santa Clarita / Newhall 20 minutes to Piru 30-45 minutes to Hollywood 40 minutes to LAX Airport 45 minutes to Universal Studios 40 -45 minutes to Ventura Beach (our favorite clean beach) 60 minutes to Disneyland

Getting to my home

Our home is off the Interstate 5 freeway / Lake Hughes Exit. Best accessible by car. There is no close public transportation.

45 minutes to LAX (depending on time) 35 minutes to Burbank Airport

Brendie

The Heter family is a loving and adventurous group. Noah works in construction and Brendie is a teacher at a private Christian academy. They have four children and our family mission statement is : Love God. Serve Others. Have fun. I'm new to this community and working hard to make connections and create adventures for my young family. Our traveling ability is currently limited to North America. BUT one day.... when baby's and school schedules become easier.... we want to explore everywhere! Our Tiny Home is open for smaller groups with enough notice. Our main residence is more family-friendly and we would consider exchanging for a simultaneous adventure as well.
