Neighbourhood

You can walk everywhere from our place....Harvard, MIT, Boston, the Charles River area, and much more. This is a charming urban area with many cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, stores, museums, etc. within a 5-15 minute walk. We do have a car that can be used, but we mostly walk or take the subway everywhere. Despite being urban, the street itself is quiet and tree-lined. You can access wonderful swimming beaches 45 minutes from our house as well. The cities of Gloucester, Salem, and Cape Cod are all within driving distance.

Nearest airport

Logan Airport, 15 minutes away.

Getting Around

It's really a great walking and public transportation city, but you can drive and park in most places.

Hi there, I am a mother with two teenage daughters. I'm a public school teacher. We love to travel in and out of the U.S. We enjoy cooking, hiking, exploring cities, and playing tennis. We would like to travel for a week or two this summer between the dates of late June to mid-August. We are particularly interested in Portugal, France, Greece, Spain, and Italy and would like to be in or very close to a city as opposed to rural areas. My home is available during the time we would be away. We live in the wonderful city of Cambridge, Massachusetts! There are cafes, shops, restaurants, Harvard's campus, and many museums within a 10-15 walk. The subway that you can take to Boston (15 minutes) is also just down the street.
