General Overview

My house is located in peaceful and quiet little countryside village (500 people) from 1 hour drive from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Forest starts from the back door and beautiful child friendly Hahmajärvi -lake is about 2 km away. There are friendly neighbors living in our street. Bigger city Lahti (about 120 000 people) is 20 km away with shopping centers and other activities. Lahti is known sports town https://visitlahti.fi/en/frontpage/to-see-and-to-do/ At simultaneous stays I offer you 4 bedrooms with two double beds and 3 single beds. For hospitality stays you will have upstairs 2 bedrooms with one double bed and two single beds and your own toilet. And of course I have a finnish sauna!

Two-floor house offers you 2 bedrooms and a toilet upstairs. Downstairs you will find a toilet, two more bedrooms, shower with Finnish sauna, kitchen and living room with fireplace.

Neighbourhood

You will find a big forest next to my house. No shops around in our village. Beautiful child friendly Hahmajärvi -lake about 2 km away.

Getting to my home

You can travel to my house in Herrala by train or by car from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. You will find a train stop about 20 minutes walk away from the house. Train to next city (Lahti) goes once in every hour and takes 9 minutes to get there.

Helsinki-Vantaa airport if about 1 hour drive away.

Getting Around

There is train stop about 1,5 km away from my home. Train to Lahti goes once in every hour. All the shops are there in Lahti.

I'm 53 years old and work in the public library near Lahti, Finland. Usually I travel alone and sometimes with my trusted friend or with my son and his girlfriend. I love travelling and hope to explore the whole world! My dream is to travel at least couple times a year on my spring and autumn holidays and in July also. There is a cat and a dog in my home. Usually dog sitter can take care of Manu on my travels, but the cat (Zen) stays at home (friendly easygoing outdoor cat). So it would be great if you can feed him and let out and in when he wants during your stay. I would love to take care of your pets too! I am open for every destination!
