Neighbourhood

The local area has a family friendly park very close by with a small zoo(?) with deer, goats and birds. There is also a children’s play park with lots of equipment and two decent skateboard bowls. We have skateboards and skates you can use. The neighbourhood is safe and family friendly. Most of the street's residents are families. There is an excellent modern sports centre in the next street with all the things you'd expect it to have.

Nearest airport

The closest airport is Heathrow which is straight to here via the Piccadilly line tube (one change at Finsbury park - Victoria line) about 1 hour.

Getting around

The closest underground stops are Highbury and Islington Station, Finsbury Park and Manor House. They are on the Victoria line and Picadilly lines. We are very close to lots of public transport. A bus at the end of the street will take you straight into central London in roughly 35mins or you can get a bus to the closest tube (Highbury and Islington Station) the the tube will then take you in to the centre in about 10 mins or less.

Pip and Louise

Me, my partner and my two children. I work in Adult Education so have the school holidays available for travel. Louise is an aspiring Artist. We both love travel and the concept of home exchange seems an amazing way to experience `Living like a Local`, as you get the true feel for a place rather than the tourist vibe. Louise's parents have been successfully home exchanging for many years and are definitely 'Pro's' on here and have highly recommended this way of travel to us. We are keen to find out ourselves!. Initially we are looking for Italy - Florence or Bolongne but open to suggestions!. We do not want to do long flights to begin with so mainly Europe, thank you for understanding.
