General overview
PLEASE READ: thinking about 2025 in a European capital
** We are primarily looking at reciprocal exchanges **
This is our home, the one we care about 350 days a year ... during the remaining 15 it's up to you to do the same :-)
It is a 130 square meter house on three levels. The front door opens onto a large living room, on the same floor there is a large kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, where 4 adults can sleep, and a bathroom with shower / whirlpool tub.
In the attic, which is used as a study, you can sleep using a folding bed (suitable for a teenager or a not too tall adult) or an inflatable double bed for adults, according to your needs.
if you want to eat outside you will appreciate our garden, which is closed so your children can play freely, they won't be able to escape anywhere :)
There are two TVs with Sky, Netflix and Prime Video.
The house has air conditioning in all rooms, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, oven and microwave, an espresso coffee machine and a regular one, juice extractor, washer, dryer, hair dryer. We have a huge music collection, Hi-Fi, Dvd, Internet with Wi-Fi and some musical instruments you can play.
We have a dog that won't travel with us if we are going abroad and won't stay with you during the exchange, unless you are true dog lovers and willing to take care of her, which she would appreciate very much!; a lady cat who lives inside and outside according to her tastes and arabbit who lives in a fence in the garden; we only ask you to feed the animals and change their water a couple a times a day.
The house is well connected by underground to Rome and the sea of Ostia (tube station only 10 minutes on foot).
In the nearbies you can find the archaeological site of Ostia Antica (http://www.ostiaantica.beniculturali.it/en/) , the Ancient Traiano's Port in Fiumicino (https://www.tripadvisor.it/Attraction_Review-g656615-d3935691-Reviews-Porto_di_Traiano-Fiumicino_Province_of_Rome_Lazio.html) and the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Cost (https://www.turismoroma.it/en/places/state-natural-reserve-roman-coast-pineta-di-castelfusano).
Suitable for all those who, after a day in the city want to return home, away from the chaos, and enjoy a moment of tranquility in the family.
If your driving license allows driving in Italy a car exchange is negotiable, we have two cars both with automatic transmission.
As we are non-smokers we invite you not to smoke in the house, you can do it in the garden without any problem.
Guest access
As you can see in the pictures there are steps to enter the house, to go down to the garden from the kitchen, and two interior stairs leading to the bedrooms (downstairs) and into the attic (upstairs)

Neighbourhood
We live in a residential area where the car can be convenient, there are ups and downs; the nearest supermarket is 1.3 km away, but you will find many others in the area within driving distance.
The nearest subway station is a 13-minute walk, but you'll probably use the car to get there.
Getting to my home
Just take a taxi from Fiumicino Airport, it's a 20-minute drive, fixed rate
Nearest airport
Rome Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport, 15 km from home (a 20-minute drive, a taxi is the best solution)
Getting around
We live in a suburb of Rome, a 15-minute drive from the sea; we’re located between the “historic city”, the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Coast, the Archaeological Park of Ancient Ostia (the ancient port of Rome) and the sea. Once back home you’re out of the city chaos, it’s a quiet place. To get to the center of Rome there are several options but the best one, in my opinion, is to drive 15/20 minutes to an interchange parking lot where you can take the subway and in 15 minutes you are at COLOSSEO (if you don’t feel like driving you can take the subway line near home or a bus).
To go to the sea the best option is by car, but public transportation is available (the same subway that goes to Rome also goes to the beach of Ostia).
