Neighbourhood
The Inner Richmond is one of San Francisco’s most desirable and diverse neighborhoods. Known for its easy access to nature (Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Ocean Beach, Lands End), as well as its walkability and safe neighborhood vibe, you’ve got everything at your doorstep, including a major grocery store 4 blocks away and numerous produce stands/markets.
Don’t forget the endless dining options - we’ve literally got it all! Fabulous dim sum, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, Mexican, Indian, Italian, plus a French bakery that Bon Appetit named ‘Best New Bakery in the US’ in 2016.
-Golden Gate Park- 4 block walk
-Golden Gate Bridge- 8 minutes by car
-Clement Street shopping and dining - 1 block
-Mountain Lake Park - 10-minute walk
-Safeway grocery store - 4 blocks
-Geary Blvd bus stop to downtown - 2 blocks
You can easily get to Marin County (over the Golden Gate Bridge) for beautiful hikes in the Marin Headlands or Mt. Tamalpais, walk amongst the peaceful redwoods in Muir Woods, or eat oysters in the picturesque coastal seaside towns of Pt. Reyes and Stinson Beach.
Sonoma County’s world-class wine and food region is 1.5 hours North from our home. Our secondary residence is in the Russian River in Sonoma County, so I can help you plan a visit to that area if you’re interested.
Sports fan? Catch an SF Giants baseball game at Oracle Park, NBA Champion Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center or head a little further south to Levi’s Stadium for a 49ers football game.
SF offers a wide variety of children’s activities, including the Exploratorium, SF Zoo, California Academy of Sciences, numerous playgrounds and parks (check out Koret Children’s Quarter and Tunnel Tops park, both close to our house), pottery painting studios, House of Air trampoline park, Children’s Creativity Museum, beaches and more.
Nearest airport
SFO Airport (25-40 minutes by taxi/car depending on time of day/traffic). Longer if using public transit.
Getting around
Walk, rent e-bikes/scooters nearby, city buses, Uber/Lyft/taxi. We have 1 e-bike for your use.
