General Overview
In a city full of skyscrapers we are lucky to live in a villa with a nice BBQ terrace, while we can walk and use public transport everywhere!
The Space
Our house is a two-story house of 2 families and we have the second and third floors, the first floor belongs to another family. Each floor is about 100 square meters.
On the second floor we have our living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms. A master bedroom (king bed 2.03m X 1.93m) with en-suite bathroom and the children's bedrooms with shared guest bathroom. Each of the children's rooms has a single bed (2.03 x 0.96 in my son's room and 1.88 x 0.88cm in my daughter's room), one of them with a trundle bed.
The third floor has another living room and a large terrace with barbecue, shower, table and chair and laundry.
Since the pandemic, we've been partially working from home, so eventually we may be able to close this upstairs living room to keep our mess 😬😬 going.
We have 2 cats that stay indoors and need care, but we can always arrange for our neighbor to come if our guests travel for a few days.

The house is accessed by stairs, so it is not suitable for people with disabilities.
We also have an open terrace with a 1.20m guardrail, so those with small children have to be careful.

Neighbourhood
Botafogo is a middle-class neighborhood in the south zone of Rio. It is well served by subway, bus, and has many restaurants and shops close by.
On Saturdays there is a farmers' market on our street.
We don't even have a car, everything is easily accessible by public transport.
The famous Copacabana beach is just one subway stop away from us.
We have 3 bikes for adults and one for children.
Getting to my home
There is a subway station 4 blocks from the house.
From the airport, you will need to take a taxi.
