General overview
The place is a quiet lovely spot next to forest at a place that was once a farm and now contains five separate housholds. I have semi off grid small wooden house/cottage that I've designed myself. It has kitchen, living room and a tiny bedroom + a separate guestroom.
I have a big vege garden and I'm self sufficient on veges and herbs.
Lots of garden space and walks in the neighborhood and in the forest.
The space
I offer the Hospitality option in my new guest room, only while I'm at home, usually around May - September.
We would be sharing the kitchen and toilet which is an indoor separating compost toilet. Hot shower only outdoors by connecting the shower hose to the kitchen tap.
The guest room is the yellow room on the photos!
.
Guest access
The guest room entry is through the open garage/store room. It's ground floor, but there's stairs to enter the house and a couple of steps different levels inside the house as well.
Notes
There are a few practical details that you need to get into when staying here, like how to separate waste, handle the compost toilet and outdoor shower.

Getting to my home
Flight to Visby from Stockholm is 35 min. Ferry a bit over 3 hours. There are buses around the island but not everywhere and you can basically only change bus line in Visby.
The island is quite flat so bicycling is an option.

People Like Us Local Guide

I live on Gotland in a country place which was once a farm, and now has five separate households. I have a vege garden and I'm self sufficient on veges and herbs.. Now retired and spend winters in Portugal. Plus some travelling.
Interested in culture from different parts of the world, a philosophical traveller, calm, have lots of ideas, unbiased.
I've been working with different culture projects, the kind you are a part of rather than just a spectator or consumer of. I'm also interested in environmental sustainability, health maintenance, art, music and different ways of thinking, new perspectives, meditation, nature, meaningful ways of living. I walk my own ways.
I've travelled a lot and spent long periods abroad, the longest in India and Australia. All together about 20 years out of Sweden if I count my 10 years in Denmark.
