General Overview

We live in a charming Cape Cod style house that has a newly remodeled kitchen and dining room, and big deck in the back yard. We are near many popular sites in Northern California: 30-45 minutes to San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose. Excellent, high-end shopping in nearby Walnut Creek. 1 hour to Sonoma and Napa. 10 minutes to Walnut Creek. 3 hours to Lake Tahoe. 2 hours to Monterey, CA 1.5 hours to Santa Cruz

The Space

3 bedrooms. 2 baths. Upstairs bathroom has shower, downstairs has shower in tub. Sleeps 5 comfortably. Upstairs primary bedroom has California King bed to sleep 2. Second upstairs bedroom has Twin bed to sleep 1. Downstairs bedroom has Queen inflatable mattress that sleeps 2. Large, remodeled kitchen/dining room. Large deck in back yard. Living room has TV with Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu and other streaming services. WiFI throughout house and WiFi extended for back yard. Office in downstairs room with WiFi if you want to work remotely.

Central air conditioning and heating. Gas stove and oven. Washer and dryer in garage. Clothes line on side of house to dry clothes with sun. Gas grill outdoors. 3 bikes available for use.

Nearby grocery stores: Safeway, Trader Joe's. 5 minute drive to Concord BART station, a subway-type train in the Bay Area. Concord Community Park, also called Cowell Park, is 10-minute walk away and has pool, picnic tables, playground. Markham Nature Area for picnic, nature walk is 5-minute walk. Getting to my home

Drive or take BART from airport to our home. From Concord BART station you can take taxi or Lyft/Uber to our home, about a 10-minute drive. BART ride from downtown San Francisco to Concord is about 45 minutes, from San Francisco Airport to Concord is about 1:15. BART from Oakland Airport to Concord is about 1 hour. Getting Around

We recommend you rent a car if you want to drive outside of our immediate area, Contra Costa County. We can negotiate the use of our Toyota Prius for local drives, such as to grocery stores, local restaurants, and to BART stations. Stores and restaurants are walkable from our home, or we have 3 bikes to use. For transportation outside of Contra Costa County, which is where Concord is, we recommend renting a car, taking BART, or the ferry in Oakland is a fun trip to San Francisco.
