Unique location and architecture are what makes it ideal. It is a large 70s a-frame made from 3" pecky cedar. Located within a 10 minute walk from a beautiful Tahoe lake cove with sandy beach and FS resort with an daily steamboat excursions. It is 3 miles from a premier ski resort in winter. There are 6 ski resorts to choose in the lake area, all around 7,000 ft. elevation and the surrounding snowcapped mountains are spectacular. There are trails of varying difficulty to enjoy, summer swimming and boating, horseback riding, kayaking and other resort activities - all within walking distance from the house snuggled in the forest.
The space
A spacious, cedar house with a two car garage, parking available in the front, backyard patio and picnic, grassy side yard and an adjoining forest restorative open area. It is set back from the road and nestled in the trees. It has four floors with the attic included, an covered entryway, windows with stain glass throughout the house, a loft for exercise above the living room and excellent acoustics.
Guest access
There's a separate entryway from the street, a bear box for refuse pickup, and a short (one-person snow shovel capacity) driveway into an enclosed two-car garage. From the garage, you enter from the covered steps into the ground floor bedroom, a set of stairs past the bathroom takes you to the main floor and living room, kitchen, utility/laundry room, another bedroom and bathroom and out to the back patio. A circular stairway also winds up to the 3rd floor to the master bedroom, bathroom and loft. Then another set of stairs ascends to the attic with two bedrooms.

Greetings from the Reynolds!
We are a semi-retired couple from California and Nevada with two grown children, both of whom are off doing their thing now. I am a writer, raised in Europe and my husband is a diver, sailor and engineer. We have travelled mostly in the West and currently have our sights on the northern cities of continental Europe next year for a house swap in the Sierras on Tahoe Lake, the second deepest alpine lake in the world.
