General Overview

Bella Vista is a modern ocean-front home on the dramatic Sonoma coast. We are in Sonoma Wine Country, and adjacent to Napa Valley. Sonoma County offers world-class wineries and is a favorite of bicycle folks.

The Space

Bella Vista offers a large open space combining the living and dining rooms with the open kitchen. It is a wonderful home for entertaining and gatherings. The View Room features massive picture windows with an unobstructed view of the powerful waves crashing on the rocks. We have a large enclosed courtyard with an ocean view deck and paving stones.

Guest Access

All rooms except for the View Room are accessible. A ramp leads from the driveway to the main floor. One bedroom has a wide doorway for those in wheelchairs. The View Room is up 6 steps.

Neighbourhood

Sereno del Mar is a quiet residential neighborhood with large lots (ours is a full acre) and a feeling of openness. We are five miles from two towns: Bodega Bay to the south and Jenner-by-the-Sea to the north. World class restaurants in each of the towns.

Getting Around

You will need an automobile to get to Bella Vista, and to travel around. There is no public transportation in our area. If you wish to safely wine taste, we can recommend tour guides and drivers. Our local airport, Sonoma County (STS) has direct flights from Seattle, Portland, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, as well as seasonal flights from Minneapolis and Las Vegas. Using STS will cut your drive from 2 1/2 hours to 45 minutes, vs. using SFO or OAK.

We are a semi-retired couple who have been exchanging homes for two decades. We love jazz music, walking, and dining. We tend to prefer urban locations where we can walk or take public transportation to restaurants and musical venues or waterfront locations in scenic areas. We're usually not interested in suburban locations.
