Guest Access

Entrance in back has only one small step up through double doors. Keys provided in a combination lock. Security cameras at entrances. Closets/dressers will not be available; clothing racks will be provided.

Notes

We have a Pomeranian mix dog, Teddy. His coat is shaved and there is no shedding in the house. Some exchanges will be easier if you're willing and able to take care of him. He has a dog door and auto-feeder but needs insulin shots twice a day. Dog sitting is not at all required for an exchange. Stays longer than 4 days will need to tend to the hot tub (add chemicals with instructions, if you're using it). No firearms of any type permitted on the property. There is room for more than 6 guests on air mattresses. Will consider larger families, if interested.

Hi PLUers! We are a family of four that loves to travel! Our kids are now 8 and 13 (in 2024). We have done a lot of travel in the US and abroad with the kids, including France, England, Croatia, Portugal, and Costa Rica. We live in Decatur, Georgia--a city adjacent to downtown Atlanta but with a small town feel! Downtown Decatur (5-10 min drive) is a cute, walkable town with a lovely Square, lots of great bars and restaurants, and some shopping. There is easy access to the MARTA train from Decatur into downtown Atlanta, or you can drive there in 15-25 mins. We are very close to Emory University and the main CDC campus (10 mins). Nearby sights include: Stone Mountain Park, Georgia Aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, Piedmont Park, Civil and Human Rights Museum, MLK Memorial Cemetery, and so many more things to do in the area. We're about a 45 min drive from the North Georgia Mountains, but there is so much nature and hiking even closer (walkable from here if you're energetic). Atlanta has more than 300 miles of bike and walking trials called the PATH that goes around and through the city, with easy access from near our house. We're about 30 mins from the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, depending on traffic. We have a beautiful forever home that we LOVE dearly and remodeled down to the studs in 2020! Everything in the home is new and custom--even the backyard that was landscaped in 2022! Sarah is a federal scientist, public health researcher, and college professor that works from home-- but can only work remotely inside the US. Andrew is a stay at home dad. Our kids are currently in the 3rd and 7th grades, and we usually to travel around the Georgia school calendar (August-May). We are clean, respectful, non-smoking guests, and hope for the same from our guests! Andrew is allergic to cats but we could care for a small dog. We have an adorable and sweet little Pomeranian. We are excited to explore the world and share our home with like-minded people!
