General overview
Main floor of home available for simultaneous swaps or occasional non- simultaneous (home is our primary residence).
Our home is in a lovely area with winding streets and mature trees. It's close to town but feels like the country with a large yard that backs onto an orchard.
The house is a 15-20 minute walk to the beach at Okanagan Lake (20 minutes home since it's all uphill!), a 30 minute drive to Silverstar Mountain Resort, a 40 minute drive to the city of Kelowna. There is an abundance of activities nearby including watersports, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, wineries, farmers markets, orchards, etc. We are within a 2 hour drive to 4 other ski hills (Apex, Revelstoke, Sun Peaks, Big White).
The space
The space is a self- contained 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom + playroom, living room, kitchen, dining area.
Please note the lower level is a fully self contained suite with private entrance which is occupied by a tenant and dog.
The main level of the home has the living room, kitchen, dining area, 3 bedrooms + children's playroom (1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 double bed), and 2 full bathrooms both with bathtubs (1 is an ensuite to the primary bedroom).
The kitchen has all newer appliances and large farmhouse table in the dining area, which opens onto the back deck with large hot tub and view of the rolling Okanagan hills and orchards.
Outside:
The backyard is large (lot is 1/3 acre) and private. We have a hot tub, trampoline and smaller above ground pool in the summer, and fire pit for the fall, winter, and spring.
Guest access
There are stairs to get into the house and into the backyard, which may make it difficult to access for individuals with mobility difficulties.
It is a family home, but our children are older and so the house is not exceptionally well set up for infants or toddlers (no baby gates at stairs, pool and hot tub in back yard may pose a risk for littles). We are happy to host families with littles as long as you are aware of those risks.

Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood feels like the country but is close to town. We often see deer, quail, owls, coyotes, and other wildlife. The houses on our street have large lots (1/3 acre) and back onto a field and orchard so it feels very private and quiet and the kids can run around without fear of bothering the neighbours.
The beach at Okanagan Lake is a 20 minute walk away and Davison Orchards is just a quick 5 minute drive away.
