General overview

Cosy, easy to live in, nice garden, great surroundings. We moved into our built house in 1998. We took part in planning the house to have a lot space to live in as a family.

The space

We spend much time in our kitchen. In the livingroom you will find one big couch and two great homemade chairs to make yourself comfortable in - play games together, watch television or a good movie together. The five bedrooms make it possible for you and your children to spend time on your own or take a nap.

Guest access

2 floors with 2 queensbeds and 1 single bed upstairs. One master bedroom and 1 single bedroom downstairs. Two toilets with bath in the house.

Neighbourhood

Quiet area in a small town with 4.400 people near the North Sea and a lot of tourist attractions nearby. Ringkøbing, 22 km away, is a romantic old town with 9000 inhabitants, but during the summer a lot of tourists visit its beautiful old towncentre. You can find a variety of shops in the town and many good places to buy groceries and you can go swimming in the fjord. Do you want to go swimming in the sea, we only have 30 km to Søndervig, which is a very popular touristtown right by the sea where you can go for a swim or just have a good time by the water. Around the area, you will find beatiful nature of great variety. Woods and moors and other sceneries are avaliable in just a 10-15 minutes drive. If you are interested in cultural experiences, our local art building, Vestjyllands Kunstpavillon in Videbæk and the museums nearby have a lot to offer - what about a guided tour in a bunker area from World War 2 or traveling back in time on a visit to the open air museum Bundsbæk Mølle and Iron Age village. Or go to Bork havn and visit the open air museum about the vikings a drive of 45 km away. You can reach many other destinations: about 45 minutes drive to Legoland or about 1 hour drive to Århus - the biggest city in Jutland 20 minutes drive to Herning 45 minutes drive to Silkeborg with art museums and the highest "mountain" in Denmark called Himmelbjerget - 147 meter about sealevel. That is not a joke. Denmark is flat. If you like being active, four golf courses are available within a 30 minutes drive (Dejberg Golfklub Herning Golfklub, Trehøje Golfklub and Holmsland Klit Golf). You can also surf or go canoeing in Ringkøbing Fjord or go mountainbiking in a nearby forest or road cycling. It is a "new" house from 1998 but very comfortable and cosy. There is room for a big family - both in the kitchen and in the livingroom. It is placed on the outskirts of the town, and therefore you will find good space around the house. Maybe you have seen the movie "Hvide Sande" and want to experience this area? We are close to playgrounds, shops, grocery stores and everything you need for your stay.

Lotte

We are a Danish family of five (Lotte, Martin, Andreas, Jesper and Thomas) living in Jutland, Denmark with a first home in Videbæk and a second home in Sweden (Branäs). We love swapping homes with grateful, caring, honest, clean, respectful and smiling “people like us” :-) Looking for Europe.
