General overview
We live in a beautiful area of the world with stunning views from our house. In fact, We live right on the seashore and have our own pier!!
The space
We have just renovated the whole house and it is super comfortable with all modern conveniences. The house is light and airy. I suppose you could describe it as being Scandinavian style decor. The house is an upside down house with the living areas upstairs and two of the bedrooms downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. We use this space as an office also.
The kitchen/diner has a large balcony looking out over the views and access to the garden below.
We have three bedrooms. Our master bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with a day bed which can pull out to another double bed and the third bedroom which we use as our office but has a double Murphy bed in it. All are comfortable.
The garden is right on the sea shore. You can swim in the sea if that is something you like to do. It is a rocky shoreline but very easy to access with the right footware!
We have a gravel patio area with a BBQ/outdoor fireplace and picnic table and seating.
There is a pier but it is very high. Much bigger than the pictures suggest, so caution should be taken with this.
Guest access
We have two floors. The house is an upside down house with the living areas upstairs. As such it does not have wheelchair access, unfortunately.

Neighbourhood
Strandhill is a fab village in the beautiful county of Sligo. It's about Three mins drive from our house. There's a Golf course and loads of surf schools as it's a bit of a surfing hotspot. There are loads of lovely restaurants, eateries and pubs.
Aswell as the vibrant village, there are some gorgeous walks on beaches and the lovely walk up the wonderful mountain Knocknarea where you can enjoy the views of Sligo.
Sligo town is about ten minutes drive away. Sligo is a large town again with shopping and some lovely restaurants. It is rich in culture and history. A wonderful base to explore further afield!!
Getting to my home
The best way to get to our house is by road. While, I wouldn't say we are exactly rural the road leading to my house wouldn't be the most suitable for walking. People do cycle on it but it is a typical small Irish road!!
Nearest airport
Knock airport is about 40 minutes drive away and both Dublin and Shannon are about two and a half hours drive away respectively
Getting around
The easiest way again is to drive. There is a good store about three mins drive away. Sligo town with Lidl, Aldi, Tesco etc is about 10 to 15 mins drive away. There is a bus to Sligo from Strandhill also. We would be interested in car exchange
