General overview

Our 200 sqm house is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom single story cottage set in the beautiful surroundings of Louisburg. The house is about 1.5 km from the town and is a very peaceful quiet place. The house is truly our home from home rather than a holiday home and is very will kitted out for both sunshine and rain with deck chairs, bikes, hundreds of DVDs and plenty of both adult and children's games. Although we don't have superfast broadband, the broadband is strong enough for home working; there is a separate home office in the house from which I and our kids have worked.

The space

The house has 2 double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower rooms. The third bedroom has 2 single beds and there is a separate full bathroom with a shower stall. There is a large kitchen / dining space with a separate utility room and a lovely sun room off this space. We spend most of our indoor time here. The kitchen has a wood burning stove for cosy evenings to supplement the gas fired central heating. There is also a sitting room with a wood burning stove and a large Smart TV and DVD player. There is a guitar and keyboard in the house if you are musically inclined! We can also get the Irish and English terrestrial TV channels. Outside is a large garden and plenty of fields of sheep nearby! We spend our time here cycling, swimming from the many beautiful safe beaches in the locality, hiking and chilling out. If surfing is your thing, Carrownisky beach, a surfers paradise, is about 10km away.

Guest access

Although the house is a single storey house, it is not really suitable for a wheelchair user. the doorways are narrow and there are steps outside. It is suitable for people with reduced mobility however.

Notes

We have a house user guide which explains how everything works and a local caretaker who can help if anything goes wrong during your stay. You will definitely need to have a car if staying here as public transport is patchy. We rent the house out for the summer months on AirBnB and so it is not available for swaps between June and August.
