Neighbourhood
Although part of the Oasis Resort, we are in a quiet residential neighbourhood, level walk to the busy town and a short walk through the Arakwal National Park bushland to Tallows Beach. Because the house is at the front of the Resort, just opposite reception, we don't get any noise from guests, yet have access to all the amenities whilst enjoying complete privacy.
Bring the camera - there is wildlife everywhere.
Nearest airport
Brisbane 2.5 hours north, Ballina/Byron 30 minutes south, Gold Coast/Coolangatta 45 minutes north, Sydney airport is 10 hours drive south and an hour and a half flight time.
Getting Around
The public transport (buses only) run almost hourly into town from the main road (about five minutes walk). This area is fairly flat so walking into town or riding bikes is an easy option. Bikes can be hired from the Oasis Resort office. If you want to explore the lovely Northern Rivers (as we are known) and all the little villages around us, you will need a car. There are PopCars/Hertz etc vehicles available throughout town, as well as taxi and Uber services.
Byron Bay Easy Bus Shuttles run to and from the airports to our front door. We are happy to arrange a swap for a little A200 silver Mercedes - it is paid parking in Byron and our car has a pass.

Carolyn & Stuart
We are retired, and aiming to spend six months each year travelling. Fully vaccinated and neat, tidy and responsible, we will look after your home like we do our own. We are 63 and 73 years of age, looking to explore the world slowly as we consider ourselves to be "travellers" not "tourists". We prefer at least a week to a month wherever we go. Our house is not set up for "little people". We have had 120+ very successful domestic and overseas swaps with this and other house swapping platforms since 2000, and love this form of travel.
