Neighbourhood
Our friendly gated waterfront residential neighborhood is on the Gulf of Mexico. A very pleasant five minute walk through the tropical forest neighborhood will bring you to the crystal blue-green sea and stunning sunsets. Walk or ride a bike to Crescent Beach and Siesta Key Beach or go to the one locals prefer, Turtle Beach. All the many restaurants, activities and nightlife of Siesta Key are within easy reach.
There is so much to do and explore. Siesta Key Beach (#1 Beach in the U.S.) is a beautiful miles long stretch of amazing white quartz crystal sand (that doesn't get hot in the sun). There are many other beaches within a short drive (North and South) to choose from if you want a variety of great beach adventures.
Siesta Key Village is a free shuttle ride, short drive or bike ride away. It's a quintessential beach town with all the shopping, bars and restaurants.
There are many opportunities to bike and kayak in and around our neighborhood or go to Lido key to kayak the mangrove tunnels and maybe see a manatee!
Downtown Sarasota offers outstanding restaurants, cultural events, art, theatre and the marina/park are definitely worth a visit.
Nearby you can experience a wealth of activities such as the Ringling Museum, Selby Botanicals Gardens, St. Armands Circle, Lido Key, Longboat Key, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, Myakka River State Park, baseball (Spring Training) and shopping. There are also kids activities like Jungle Garden and the Orlando theme parks (Disney/Paramount/etc.) are about two and a half hours away by car.
Nearest airport
The closest airport is Sarasota (SRQ) 35min. a smallish airport with many flights but can be pricey. We typically fly from either Tampa (TPA) 1.15 hrs. or Fort Myers (RSW) 1.25 hrs. (Ft. Myers). There are others nearby St. Petersburg (PIE) and Punta Gorda (PDG) but we've never flown from them.
Getting around
Walk, bike or drive to the beach, restaurants and bars. Siesta Key also has a free trolley that goes up and down Midnight Pass Road from Turtle Beach in the South to Siesta Key Village in the North. There are also vans that operate on tips operating on the same route.
