General overview
Unique, house, in the heart of Haarlems vivid city centre, located at a small city park / public garden which closes for the public between 6PM and 8 AM. The house looks at the garden and is therefore very quiet in the evenings, although Haarlems numerous restaurants and bars are closeby. The house is part of a small complex (7 appartments), behind a characteristic old gate, was newly built in 2011 behind the old old facade. Frans Halsmuseum, architecture museum and other musea are just around the corner. As well as many restaurants, bars and Haarlems many unique shops. A short movie about Haarlem:

I am 53 year old professional. My late husband and I have done about six succesfull home exchanges via another platform, between 2013 and 2017. Destinations were Canada, UsA, Budapest, Prague and Spain. We loved to discover other countries and cultures in this way. One feels more part of the country and culture then in a hotel or holiday resort. I am looking forward to take up the tradition again. Our children are all grown up and live by themselves. I would like to travel to Sicily, New Sealand, New York, California, Canada, Georgia, Armenia, Israel, Bali, the Mediterranean area in general. I will travel with my daughter, with a friend or alone. I have a very sweet cat that will stay at home. I am looking specifically for Greece (summer 2021) and Dublin (18-26 July 2021)
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
