Our family home is in Okrug Gornji, on the island of Čiovo, just across the bridge from the beautiful UNESCO-listed old town of Trogir.

We are about 700 metres from the sea and several beaches, so swimming and slow days by the water are part of everyday life here. 

At the same time, our location is a wonderful base for exploring this part of Dalmatia: Old part of Trogir is just a few minutes away, Split and Diocletian’s Palace are half an hour from our home and the historic town of Šibenik, Krka National Park and many of the islands can all be explored on day trips.

We especially love that you can enjoy the quieter rhythm of island life here without feeling isolated. Restaurants, cafés, beaches and small local shops are nearby, while some of the most beautiful historic towns on the Croatian coast are within easy reach.

Split Airport is only about 15 minutes from our home.

Dubrovnik, one of Croatia’s most iconic historic cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is about a  3,5, hours drive from our home and can easily be included as part of a longer trip along the Dalmatian coast.

The Space

Our home includes separate, fully independent apartments, so guests can enjoy their own private space while staying with us.

For most exchanges, one apartment will be available, with everything you need for a comfortable and independent stay. 
If you are travelling as a larger family or together with friends who are in PLU community, we may also be able to offer a second apartment, giving everyone a little more space and privacy while still staying together in the same house.

Guest Access

Your apartment will be on the second floor of our family home, with its own private entrance and complete privacy during your stay. Please note that the apartment is accessed by stairs.

Free private parking is available on the property.

Neighbourhood

Our home is in a peaceful residential neighbourhood surrounded mainly by family homes.

It’s a comfortable place to slow down and unwind, take walks by the sea, or use as a starting point for exploring the coast, historic towns, islands and natural beauty of this part of Croatia.

Getting to my home

The easiest way to reach our home is by flying to Split Airport (SPU), approximately 10 km away. From the airport, the most convenient option is to take a taxi or rent a car. The drive usually takes around 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic, and we can help arrange a taxi if needed.

You can also travel from Zagreb to Split by train or bus. From Split, you can continue to Trogir by bus and then take a local bus or taxi to our home. Direct buses to Trogir are also available from Zagreb and some other Croatian cities.

If you are arriving by car, free parking is available at the house.

Getting Around

The local bus stop is only a few minutes’ walk from our home, providing connections to Trogir and other parts of Čiovo. Taxi is also available.

A small grocery shop is just a few minutes away, while a larger supermarket is located by the coast, close to the beach. A shopping centre with a wider selection of shops is approximately 3–4 km from the house.
