Superbly located house in the medieval town of Vallebona, one of the “Magnificent community of the eight villages” on the Ligurian sea coast. Two-storey family home or two large self-contained apartments with separate entrances.

The space

Two-level house with living and dining room, separate kitchen and two bedrooms on the top floor. The lower floor has an open space living room with its own kitchenette and one bedroom. Massive terrace with views of both the sea and the low-rising Ligurian alps.

Notes

5 minutes to the beaches of Bordighera, 20km to the French Riviera jewel Menton. Lots of mountain hikes and mountain bike trails starting straight from the house. For the foodies, the restaurants of Vallebona and the region have fans from all around the world.

Neighbourhood

A beautiful medieval village overlooking the sea, Vallebona has retained almost intact the defense structure typical of medieval towns, with rough stone houses, narrow alleyways and covered passages. You can still see the ruins of the sixteenth-century fortifications.

Getting to my home

Take the highway exit to Bordighera. Pass by Le Mimose village, Borghetto San Nicolo and then you will arrive to Vallebona.

We are in our late 50s, recently retired from IT. Home is Italy these days, although we have always considered ourselves global citizens. We love travel, hiking, trekking, cycling - we just love to move! We make very good house sitters as we are super neat, do not smoke and spend most of our days out.
