General Overview

Welcome to our home! We love living in Victoria (moved here 15 years ago) and we know you will too. Our modern, comfortable, ‘open-concept’ home is spread out over 2 floors. It is south facing (large deck with a propane fire pit), 3000 square feet, 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and 1 sun-room. Outside, we have a nice yard in front, plus an enclosed yard in the back with a hot tub, climbing wall, obstacle course, and trampoline. The top floor of our home is where we live and spend most of our time. It has 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, living area, sun-room, and kitchen. We have a sauna, hot tub, pool table, table tennis, exercise room, SUP, trampoline, climbing wall, obstacle course and bicycles as well as kids toys (appropriate for 6 - 12 ages) for your recreational pleasure.

We are centrally located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with quick, easy access to shopping, many restaurants, downtown Victoria, ocean beaches, ferries and airport. Our large deck (incl. propane fire pit, patio heater) with view of the Olympic Mountains where you can watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Relax with the pool table, table tennis table, sun room, sauna, hot tub, exercise equipment or have a drink at the wood burning fireplace.

Neighbourhood

Walking just a few steps will bring you to the neighbourhoods many cute shops, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. There are lots of playgrounds, popular parks, markets, and community activities close by. We are located 10 minutes (5km) from downtown. Only minutes to the countryside for incredible trails, lakes and outdoor adventures. Major shopping mall (Hillside Center) with grocery store, Liquor store (3 blocks) – 8 minute walk. McRae’s (a neighborhood pub) is 3 blocks away. Recreational Center (Cedar Hill Recreation Centre) with tennis, squash, a full fitness facility, dance, pottery, and art studios among other things is 5-minute short walk from our home. Cedar Hill Golf Course is very close by - 5 minute walk. An 18 hole municipal golf course (with walking/jogging chip trial on perimeter). Janin

We are a busy, fun, and outgoing family of 4: Andreas, Janin, and our 2 daughters. We are foodies and love to try new foods and recipes. We love the outdoors and being physically active whether it is hiking, swimming, running, canoeing, and biking. We have a very well behaved, quiet, hypoallergenic dog (labradoodle). His name is Filou. We would love to bring him with us when we explore new places. We are originally from Berlin, Germany. We first visited Vancouver Island in 2007. After our visit we loved it so much here we decided to move to Victoria. That is 14 years ago and we STILL LOVE it. We also love to travel and to discover new places. We're looking forward to creating adventures around the world through this site and share our beautiful cozy family home with others!
