Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is a quiet, exceptionally safe, and family-friendly residential area on the South Shore of Montreal. It is a wonderful place for families to ride bikes, walk to local parks, and experience authentic Quebec charm.
Here are the highlights our guests love most about our location:
Easy Commute to Montreal: Getting into the city is seamless, whether you prefer to drive or use public transit. By Public Transit: You can walk from our house to the bus stop on Boulevard de Mortagne and hop on the RTL Line 61 or 461 express bus. It takes you directly to the Radisson Metro Station in Montreal in just under 20 minutes! From there, the entire Montreal subway network is at your fingertips. You can also take direct buses to the Longueuil Metro Station. By Car: If you prefer to drive, you are only a 15 to 20-minute drive away from downtown Montreal and the historic cobblestone streets of Old Montreal. You can easily enjoy world-class museums, incredible restaurants, and summer festivals, then retreat back to the quiet peace of our backyard pool at the end of the day.
The River Shuttle to Montreal's Old Port: During the summer season (from late May to the end of September), you can walk or bike down to the waterfront and catch the Navark River Shuttle (Ligne N2). It is a beautiful, scenic 30-minute boat ride that drops you off directly at the Quai Jacques-Cartier in Montreal's historic Old Port—it’s by far the most enjoyable, stress-free way to visit the city!
Walkable Conveniences: You don’t need to drive just to get groceries! From our house, you can easily walk to the major shopping hub on Boulevard de Mortagne. You'll find a Maxi and a large IGA grocery store for all your food needs, plus an SAQ (the Quebec liquor store) to pick up local wines, craft beers, and spirits.
The Local Producers' Market: Just minutes away is the Lionel-Daunais Public Market. It is the perfect place to experience our local food scene! On Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the summer, it comes alive with local farmers, artisanal food producers, wine tastings, and great community energy.
Vibrant Cultural & Music Life: Boucherville has a fantastic local arts scene. During the summer, the city hosts free outdoor concerts (like the popular Airs d'été Desjardins), live jazz at the public market, and family events at nearby parks like Parc Vincent-d'Indy. There is always a lovely outdoor show or cultural discovery happening close by.
Îles-de-Boucherville National Park (Sépaq): Located practically on our doorstep, this stunning island network in the St. Lawrence River is an outdoor lover’s paradise. In the summer, you can rent kayaks, canoes, and bicycles, or hike the flat paths to spot wild white-tailed deer. In the winter, it’s a beautiful spot for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Getting Around
Our small town offers a wide range of interesting restaurants, a nice public market with seasonal fruits (strawberries are unbeatable in June and July!), as well as an easy and fast public transport network to Montreal (see info under Neighbourhood).
We are less than 15 minutes from the Montreal Botanical Garden and the Olympic Stadium, the Old Port of Montreal (boat shuttle from Boucherville can also make for an easy and relaxing trip there!) and downtown.
We are also 2 hours drive from Quebec City and Mont Tremblay, about 1h30 from Eastern Townships East of US Customs. We can swap a car if needed and give you access to our bikes.

Sarah
Hello from Sarah, Ben, and our three little adventurers! 👋
We are a happy family of five from Québec, Canada : Sarah (a public health professional), Ben (an engineer), and our three children: Adèle (10), Damien (9), and Théodore (5). Our kids are seasoned travelers who love exploring new places and are very respectful of other people's spaces (and toys).
For us, home exchanging isn't just a way to travel—we are truly convinced it is the best way to explore the world! Since 2014, we have successfully completed several exchanges on other platforms and right here on PLU. We absolutely love the unique experiences, the wonderful people we meet, and the feeling of community. When we aren't working, you will usually find us outdoors! We are passionate about hiking, downhill skiing, swimming and discovering local food.
We are a quiet, non-smoking family with no pets of our own, though our kids would be absolutely thrilled to gently love and pamper your furry friends if you have them!
As experienced guests, we will treat your home with the utmost care, respect, and cleanliness—exactly as if it were our own.
While we offer our main residence, we are very open to non-simultaneous exchanges, as we are lucky enough to be able to stay with our parents nearby.
Don't hesitate to reach out!
