General overview

We have a newly renovated two storey home located in a family oriented quiet neighborhood in Okotoks. The town has all the amenities you will need and we are super close to Calgary with tons of visitor attractions - the Telus Science center and the Calgary Zoo to name a few. Calgary is the third most diverse major city in Canada with more than 120 languages spoken in the city, which means festivals galore...The Calgary Stampede being the mother of all festivals held every July for 10 days! In the city you will never run out of gorgeous places to explore, for hiking, mountain biking, and fishing in the summer and skiing, snowmobiling, and ice skating in the winter. Calgary is home to 8,000 hectares (nearly 20,000 acres) of parkland AND you are right on the doorstep to the MAJESTIC ROCKY MOUNTAINS! If you like winter sports - there are 5 different places to ski at within 2 hours of here - some are world class resorts! If you come stay at our home, I am more than happy to help you with planning your trip to our area! We are interested in week long exchanges as well as month or possibly longer swaps for the right situation. We love planning ahead so shoot us a message even if you are thinking about swapping in a couple of years and let's get the conversation started.

Neighbourhood

Our town is quiet but has all the amenities you would need. A car is necessary as stuff is spread out. The community is very family oriented with many facilities that cater to families - our favorites are the Rec Center and the local library with all it's programs. We also love all the large path system built through the town as we enjoy biking and walking on it regularly! Calgary - just 20 minutes away has many tourist attractions and plenty happening to partake in!

Getting to my home

Calgary International airport in less than 1 hour from our home. You could get a shuttle or taxi here but our town doesn't have public transportation so you would need a car.

Our family of four loves to travel. Dad has a job where he often works away and mom and the boys take homeschool on the road when we can.
