General overview

Our home is located in beautiful Bend, Oregon--a year round recreational destination in the high desert of Central Oregon. We are 30 minutes from several nordic skiing sno parks, 40 minutes from Mt. Bachelor (downhill skiing), and endless backcountry destinations in the high lakes alpine area of the cascade mountain range. Bend is also known as a cycling, mountain biking, fishing, boating, running, camping and hiking mecca. There are over 40 craft breweries and a thriving downtown. We love our home because it is located close to downtown but out of the fray. Parts of Bend are quite busy in the highest seasons for tourism (especially summer). Our neighborhood is a quiet residential area with great access to shopping, trails and downtown. Our yard is a peaceful place with native plant landscaping in the back and a shady canopy of trees in the front--which is the place to be when the summer sun is out. We have a yurt set up as a flexible play space for kids with toys, and a rowing machine and a standing desk for adults.
