General overview
Listed in the Times as one of the best places to live in England, Tynemouth is the perfect place to be, especially if you love the sea. We love paddle boarding, surfing and swimming on our door step in the glorious North Sea. We have some amazing restaurants where you can sample fresh seafood and a lovely market selling local goods. Jump on the metro and you’ll be in Newcastle in 20 minutes for lively nightlife, art and music. Drive north up the stretches of breathtaking coastline, to Bamburgh or visit Alnwick Castle.
The space
The house is a semi detached property in the heart of Tynemouth. We have a lovely sunny open plan extension to the rear and south west facing garden with garden furniture for soaking up the sun. We have three large double bedrooms and a box room with sofa bed.
Guest access
We have closed off the loft so you have two main floors with bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. There are two steps up to the front door and stairs up to the bedrooms and bathroom.

Neighbourhood
In Tynemouth you have a convenience shop, brand new bakery, fish shop and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Local towns of Whitley Bay and Cullercoats provide more. It’s a cool surfing area with likeminded laid back people who love the outdoors.
Getting to my home
Tynemouth is on the metro so jump on straight from Newcastle airport around 45 minutes or from Newcastle train station it’s 25 minutes. We are three hours by train from London Kings Cross or 1 and 1/2 hours to Edinburgh. The Lake District is a two hour drive.

Getting around
Everything you need is walkable or doable by public transport. If you wanted to head up the Northumberland coastline you could hire a car. Alnwick Castle is where Harry Potter was filmed. We have several National Trust properties within easy reach by car if you’re interested in history plus Hadrians Wall.
