We stayed in Joyce & Wilson in July 2024, for our daughter's dream trip to the West coast. The apt is is about 15-20 minutes from SFO, with a tram station just right outside the building. We couldn't stay the whole time in the apt due to personal preferences, so didn't explore further. We didn't have any issue at all with the Front desk (as exchangers), though we do follow Joyce's recommendations carefully. Wilson is very knowledgeable of the city and gave many thoughtful and good recommendations of restaurants and places to visit for which we are grateful. We are also very appreciative of the offer to pick-up from SFO.
Wilson and Joyce were lovely hosts. They were extremely flexible when our flights and plans changed. They were very welcoming, coming all the way to the airport to pick us up and making sure everything was ready and clear to us before leaving. The apartment is perfectly situated, spacious and very pleasant. When the power of the neighborhood went down, they helped us and brought flashlights and batteries to be able to manage this unfortunate situation that the whole block was on. I'd definitely recommend exchanging houses with them!
W&J's San Francisco home is a great location, with a short walking distance to Whole Foods and Safeway, and a few restaurants. Yerba Buena Gardens is close by like their backyard. Union Square, Market Street, and the Ferry Building are all within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay in their very spacious two-bedroom home - an ideal place to do a little work when traveling, as it's so quiet with all the windows facing a peaceful courtyard. They have two desks set up in two bedrooms. The building is modern and secure, the home is homey. Communication with W&J is very smooth.

Joyce and Wilson were great guests! They were very communicative and took great care of my place! I would be happy to host them again!
Wendy and her family (husband a teenage daughter) were great and respectful guests. They left the place very clean upon departure. We appreciate them staying with us.
There were three young adults. who stayed at our apartment. Initially, it was just two but another one came along, which was totally fine. One of the males was Lola's son Pablo. They were great guests and very respectful of our place and rules. They were also very communicative and respectful. Kept our places very clean, just the way we left it. It was unfortunate that during part of their stay, our whole building lost power due to a power thunderstorm that impacted most of the homes in the Bay area. They were very understanding of the situation and easy going about it so we really appreciated that since the power outage was out of anyone's control.
We'd be happy to host them again!
The home is situated in a quiet residential street, a block away from the restaurants and close to the Stanley park entrance. It was the perfect base to explore Vancouver. The spacious condo has a queen size master bedroom and a guest bedroom has an office desk and a pull out bed couch. We used the espresso machine every morning. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, and there are two major grocery chains within 2 blocks. We didn't have to cook because the restaurants in the area were so good!
There are no TV's or computer monitors in the condo so we brought our portable monitors to attach to our laptops. We didn't have any issues as the neighbors are quiet. We would absolutely stay at Timila's home again.
We had the perfect exchange experience with Timila, they’re a super cute couple who are seasoned exchangers and love to travel. Prior to committing on PLU, we had a Facetime call to tour each other's space and was in constant communication regarding flight schedules and car dropoffs. They were very friendly and kept our space clean.
We were a party of 5 adults and had a pleasant 10 night stay at Lori's condo.
Lori was super nice and patient with onboarding us. We had trouble getting into the door and she picked up our phone call to troubleshoot, even pulling over her car to the side of the road to help with the issue.
Location was very convenient for us. Downtown Kona was about a mile north and the snorkeling spots are 10-30min south, depending which spot you go. The condo was about 20mins from Kona airport and we were able to make a Costco shopping trip on the way.
The condo had everything you need for the stay. There were beach chairs and boogie boards to borrow. We sat outside on the beautiful balcony for breakfast each morning. There's no AC but we found the Vornado fans to be sufficient. If humidity is a deal breaker then this may not be the right place for you.
The complex was well maintained and had easy parking. There are bbq grills by the pool and lounge chairs to watch the waves hit the lava rocks. We watched the sunset every evening. There were other families on holiday but it never felt crowded nor noisy.
We very much enjoyed our time on the Big Island. Lori's such as gracious host and I would absolutely recommend staying at her condo.
So glad you guys had a great stay!! :-)

From Kathy for 3 day(s) in Lake Tahoe, CA on February 9, 2022: I enjoyed meeting Joyce and Wilson. They were very polite and easy-going. They came with friends and everyone took care of my house and clean really well when they left. As this was a hosted exchange I was in the house during their stay. They were gone skiing during the day and very quiet in the evening. I would welcome them back anytime.
From Debra in Oahu, HI for 18 days from August 1, 2021
Exchanging with Joyce and Wilson was a great experience. We had messaged and did Facetime walkthroughs prior to our arrival so we truly felt we were exchanging with friends. It was a first time for both of us so we shared tips between us to make for the best HE experience. Their SF condo was spacious, comfortable and in a good location for all that we were interested in doing. We appreciate how they took care of our home and plants, and would not hesitate to recommend them to other home exchangers.
