Neighbourhood

In walking distance or by quick car ride you will find loads of wineries, restaurants, hiking and beautiful vineyards! There is also a lovely bike trail that goes through town if you want to rent bicycles while you are here.

Nearest airport

SFO is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away. Santa Rosa airport, which has limited flights, is about 40 minutes away.

Getting around

You'll definitely need a car here. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance and we don't have much for Uber or taxis. All of the wineries are a minimum of a 10 minutes drive (please designate a driver, the police don't mess around here!) and there are plenty of private services that you can hire for a day of drive-free wine tasting. There are plenty of bicycle rental places around town if you wanted to bike instead of drive while in town.

People Like Us Local Guide

I go between SF and Sonoma, so if I am in town in either place when you are there, I am happy to advise and/or it would be fun to meet up. Even If I’m not, I’m happy to give restaurant and general travel and highlight suggestions of both Sonoma and San Francisco.
