General overview
This is a 2nd home with a very open schedule for any type of exchange. It is in the peaceful countryside with mountain views but just 7 miles from downtown Boone, NC. There is a good chance you will see deer in the back yard from the 7 acre woods.
Our house is in the peaceful countryside with mountain views but just 7 miles from downtown Boone, NC.
Boone is a vibrant college town (Appalachian State University) with lots of great bars, restaurants, shops and great music. If you are into craft beer Boone has 4 amazing breweries. Hiking, water sport, skiing, snow tubing and mountain beauty are all a short drive way.
The space
Our house has 3 floors:
The first floor has the main bedroom which has a full bathroom with garden tub, separate shower, washer and dryer and private door out to the hot tub. There is also a fully furnished kitchen and living room.
The loft has a king bed, twin trundle beds, a standing desk and a full bath with garden tub and handheld shower.
The basement has another separate living area. There is a living room with two sofas (one is also a queen bed), a multi-game table (ping pong, pool, foosball and air hockey), lots of games and puzzles including outdoor games and another kitchen with oven, refrugerator and washer dryer. The bedroom has access to its own mountain-view balcony and full bathroom.
The wrap around deck has a hot tub (seats 7), lots of seating to enjoy the mountian views, a large table and chairs, a propane fire pit and a gas grill. Our house welcomes pets, has high speed internet and 4 televisions.

The house has a first floor, a loft and a basement. There is a ramp into the front door and a walk in shower in the main bathroom making it handicap accessable.
Notes
If you would prefer not to clean the house before you leave we will gladly share cleaning fees with you. (non-sim and globe guests)

Neighbourhood
Our house is on a country road with only 6 houses. Only 1 house is visible and it is a lovely farmhouse with horses and goats.
Getting to my home
You will need a car to get to the house and 4-wheel drive is necessary in the winter.
Nearest airport
The nearest airports are Charlotte Douglas International Airport (100 miles) and Asheville Regional Airport (107 miles).
Getting around
The nearest grocery store is 6 miles and the largest one is 8 miles. There are both Uber and Lyft services but a car is preferable.
