Neighbourhood

Our home is in an upscale area and has everything you need within walking distance: grocery stores, a pharmacy, a bakery, public transportation, a beautiful park (Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge), and more. The neighborhood is ideal for travelers and families that want to be in the city yet have space for relaxing. It's only 4 km from the Old Québec, with its numerous attractions (Plaines d'Abraham, Chateau Frontenac, the Citadelle and the old "walls" of the city, Place Royale, Museums & Churches). The Vieux-Québec is unique and beautiful (and part of UNESCO World Heritage). During July and August, the city is animated by different festivities (Festival d'Ete; Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France). If you enjoy nature, you'll love the parks about thirty minutes (by car) from our house, including the Jacques Cartier Park and Parc du Mont Saint-Anne. It is easy to practice activities like hiking, fishing, canoeing or mountain biking. And everybody who visits Quebec City must spend at least a day at the Ïle d'Orléans, a beautiful island in the St-Lawrence River, only 30 minutes away.

Getting around

Public transit is available right nearby and takes you straight downtown (10 minute ride), to two major shopping centers (5 minute ride), and to all other areas around the city. There is also a network of bike paths to and around the city.
