General overview
Welcome to our cozy home - we love exchanges - and globes are also welcome!
Our house Is a typical Danish house from 1955 (renovated since 😉) with a big garden (1100 m2).
A lovely home for adults and children.
We have all the things a family need.
*Big garden with a out door fireplace
*Great terrace for good cooking on the big barbecue.
*On Top Pool (small gardenpool) and a SPA 2 pers)
All practical things that you need ex.: washingmachine, tumbledryer, microwave, expressomachine, owen, stove etc. We will if you have special need e.g. for babies or bikes - so we will help you.
Our House is traditional old danish - it is not a big house, but very cozy. At second floor we have bedroom and two kids rooms.
First floor (groundfloor) has kitchen, livingroom and a diningroom.
In lowerlevel we have Bathroom, guestroom (1,5 sofabed + an ekstra foldable bed) and a workshoproom for artist painting and sewing and an extra TV plus VR for your PC.
In our sidehouse we have a pottery studio and we have a small greenhouse.with 3 seatings.
In the garden we have an On top pool and a 2 person heated SPA. Also a fireplace and a great terrace with barbecue. Beside that we have a vegetable garden and a greenhouse with a small sitting area.
We can also exchange cars.
We have been a member of another exchange platform since 2010. All GREAT swaps!
We made our first exchange in the summer 2010 with a french family near Paris - a great succes for all of us.
In the summer 2011 we exchanged with a family in St Malo - also a great experience. We still have contact.
And the summer in 2012 we also exchanged with a family near Paris.
Year 2014 we were in Granada so good! - and in 2015 we swapped with a family in Nice - all great swaps.
In 2017 we had a spring great swap in Malaga, Spain and in summer and also in 2017 we had a great swap in Pilar de la Horadada, Spain. So great!
Summer in 2021 was a Swap with a greek Family, hot - but so great!

Great house with room for a family or max 4-5 adults.
Our house is 125 m and has 3 floors - basement included.

Notes
Be aware we only have one bathroom.
Our first floor has low roof in sides of the rooms. Not a problem for normal high people - very cozy - but for a people about 2 meter it will might feels a bit small.

We will sometimes like might to travel with our dog (border collie 5 years okd and well behaved). But only to a country near us.
Another option
If you want - we can take care of your dog or cat.
Pottery studio
I (Dorthe) do pottery in my sparetime, so I have a stufior with 2 wheels, table throwing, glazes etc. It is possible to use. If you are a routines potter it is possible to use my ceramic oven or making a raku og saggarfiring in the garden.

We had such a wonderful time at Dorthe and Steffen's place. Their home is comfortable and has a beautiful garden and back yard. The area is so sweet and family oriented with a wonderful public pool nearby as well as supermarkets and a really nice cafe.
We used the commuter train to easily get into Copenhagen and we also used their place as a home base to explore small towns and countryside. Dorthe is so friendly and kind, we communicated throughout the exchange and she offered many suggestions for seeing Denmark.
I would highly recommend this exchange for a family or anyone who wants to see both the big city and the more relaxed countryside which lays just beyond the city limits. We felt very safe, comfortable and relaxed throughout our trip Would love to return!
We stayed in Dortes home for a week and it was a very good experience. We felt very welcome. And the house has a lot of soul. We went swimming every day in the lake just 2 km away (Buresø).
We loved Dorthe and Steffen's house! It is very cosy, well decorated (especially thanks to the ceramics and paintings by Dorthe) and pleasant to live in. The garden is really magnificent, very large with a vegetable patch, a summer kitchen, a spa and a swimming pool. The location is ideal, Copenhagen is easily accessible by train (about 30/40 minutes).
Important detail: Dorthe and her family are charming, generous and very pleasant people with whom it was a real pleasure to talk before, during and after our stay.
Thank you for everything !
Dorthe and her family are very reliable, lovely people. It was a wonderful exchange. Dorthe was also easy to reach during this time. We got a lot of great tips for the area. In addition, the house was clean and comfortable. We can fully recommend Dorthe, her family and their home.
Dorthe and her family took excellent care of our home and were very loving toward our cats. They were very communicative, open and friendly. They are always welcome again!
Dorthe and her family are the perfect exchange partner: fluid and friendly communication, house left perfectly clean and in order.
You come back when you want!
Our house was treated wonderfully, we even got a beautiful bouquet of flowers and delicious sweets when we came home.
This was our first house exchange ever, so there were some mixed feelings and expectations, but we couldn’t have had better guests, Dorthe, Steffen, their two children and their dog. We had good contact with Dorthe and Steffen before and through out their stay and everything went smooth. Our home was in the best of hands and a pleasure to come home to.

We had a great exchange. Cara is so easy to talk with, and very helpfull.
The apartment in Brooklyn is easy to stay in and near all attractions. 10 minutes walk to the metro and about 30 minutes to Manhatten. The neighbours are very friendly and we felt very safe in the building.
The area is multi cultural so its easy to get food from all over the world.
The atmosphere in the apartment is relaxed and cozy. It is a 3 room apartment - we were 4, so one on the sofa. That went well. We enjoyed the the balcony, even there is a lot traffic og NYC vibes :-) The only thing we wish were better was the kitchen. It is very small, but has all needed.
We took care of the two cats with food and cat-toilet. That was an easy task. We did not see the cats much - as they were very shy - but when we did meet them, they were friendly.
A great exchange we recommend :-)
Cara and her family took great care of our house. Everything was fine when we went home again. They are easy to communicate with and they are always welcome again.
Søren and his family stayed in our house for a week - a globe exchnge.
We had good communication before and on the exchange.
They took very good care if our house and everything was nice and clean when we returned. They even gave us a bottle of wine and a little gift from Greenland ❤️
The family are so friendly and easy to communicate with ❤️
We just loved this house - with all the positive vibes! Everything is great - and all you can need is there - even a great terrace and a big spa. Nice and clean - and great communication - with welcome info, houseguide and messages via whatsapp. We also enjoyed our videochat before arriving.
The area is great - Lots of things to do and explore. Strassburg is near - and its easy getting there with public transport.
Alsace food and wine - and the Cremante! Its so wonderful.
We really recommend Virginia and Francois’ home ❤️❤️❤️
This family are so great as guests. They took hreat care of our house and we had a good communication. Even our teenager and theirs had a great chat - as they found out they were reading same books and liked the same music :-)
Our house was left clean and nice ❤️
We had a great holiday in Paula, Christopher and Angelos home. Its only 30 minutes from the center of Hamborg. And Hamborg is a great city with a lot to see.
Their home is at the country side with a great terrace and garden. Its a relaxed home and you will feel the vibes of roleplay and Games of thrones :-) Our kids loved the videogames!
The house is very big, so we did not even used all the rooms.
Their daughter has a great room for playing on the topfloor.
When we arrived we were welcomed with a huge basket of wine, chocolate etc.
We chatted via whatsapp and text messages and the communication was fine :-)
A great holiday!!!
Everything looked fine when we came home. Paula even washed towels and bedlinen - thanks.
They were great guests and took good care if our house.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We stayed in Peter and Lenas great house in sweden, on the west coast. Everything was perfekt! We have exchanged 8 times before - everytime we loved it.
