We love to travel. We have seen so much of this world by volunteering with USAID and by being a travel writer and photographer for a Boomer travel magazine. We have sat on the floor in a home in Africa eating a meal with our hands and eaten Michelin starred meals. We have stayed in some of the world’s top rated luxury hotels as well as slept in a Bedouin tent in the Arabian desert. And yet the best part of travel is meeting the people. When we go to another place we get to see a new piece of God’s heart and leave with new friends. This is why we are interested in home exchanges.
Our quadriplegic son, Andrew, travels with us sometimes but usually solo. He is a professional wheelchair player who travels the world to play tennis and adventure.
We have lived for 17 years in Laguna Beach, California and then moved to the Pacific Northwest and lived on the Rogue River. When it came time to retire we chose Prescott, Arizona. We love it and hope to share its wonders with you.
Prescott is the Wild West! Real adventure and history is just minutes from our front door. For the last 10 years, Prescott has been nominated one of the top 10 places to live in America. Expedia's 2017 “best destination for nature lovers” is surrounded by 1.6 million acres of Prescott National Forest, featuring lakes for kayaking or fishing and over 450 miles of multi-use mountain bike and hiking trails. Once the territorial capital of Arizona in the days of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, today you can visit Prescott’s famous downtown courthouse and Whiskey Row and enjoy numerous shops, restaurants, boutiques and live music venues.
