Our house is in peaceful neighborhood, a block back from the cliff walk and less than 5 minutes level walk to the beach. It's close to local amenities, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to give you a real holiday feel.
This is our second home and is rented on air bnb when not in use. This means it's difficult to keep our availability calendar up to date, but please feel free to message. If we agree an exchange we will of course block those dates off in our air BNB listing.
Our main home is in the Blue Mountains, a 2.5 hour drive away. We have children in school so mainly travel in school holidays or (locally) at weekends. For longer, simultaneous exchanges, it may be possible for you to split your stay between both places, if the stars and details align!
The space
The house is simple, relaxed and comfortable. It's not overly fancy, but it has everything you need for an enjoyable visit. Children and furry friends (although sadly not cats, due to allergies) are very welcome.
There are 3 bedrooms:
1 x queen bed
1 x queen bed plus single trundle
1 x children's room with 2 sets of bunks.
All rooms have built in wardrobes.
There is a main bathroom with bath and shower (with hand rail) and a separate laundry/shower room. The two toilets are separate from the bathrooms.
Kitchen is well equipped and joins the living and dining space. Please note the inside dining table comfortably sits 6 (although the place sleeps 8). The outside table is bigger.
There is a pretty fenced garden, with fruit trees.
Guest access
This is a single story property with no internal steps, and no steps from street to house.

Neighbourhood
Callala Bay is a gem of the South coast! Nestled into the southern end of Jervis Bay, you are a stone's throw (literally!) from pristine beaches. It is an area abundant with wildlife, with dolphins regularly spotted in the bay, eagles soaring overhead and whales passing close to shore on their annual migration route. Extensive local bike trails link through to a ferry that will take you to Hutchinson on weekends and holidays. Lovely shops and cafes in Callala and surrounding beach suburbs.
Getting to my home
It's easiest to drive - 2.5-3 hour drive from both Sydney and Canberra. There is a train and bus link from Sydney, but buses are irregular, and taxis etc expensive due to the distance involved.
Nearest airport
Sydney or Canberra, approx 3 hours drive.
Getting around
We are a 10-15 minute walk (3 minute drive) to the local shops, where you will find supermarket, bakeries, butcher, bottle shop and cafes. Everything you need! There's a pop up gelato store near the shops which is highly recommended! The community garden and monthly market is also next to the shops, and is wonderful.
