Neighbourhood

The neighbourhood is quiet and residential but well connected to the rest of the city by public transport. Many young families moved around here and there are often self-organised neighbours initiatives, second-hand markets, etc. Within walking distance you will find supermarkets, a really good bakery, a butcher, an icecream shop, bars, restaurants and cafes. On Tuesday mornings there is a fruit & veggie market. There is a wonderful cider bar around the corner, a brasserie, a Portuguese restaurant and an Italian pastry shop. The park Josaphat (one of the biggest and oldest in Brussels) is reachable with a nice 10 mins walk and has green grass fields, two playgrounds, a coffee place, a kiosk, and even a minigolf. The closest playground is only 5 mins away.

Zaventem Brussels airport is the closest airport.

Getting Around

Public transport is widely available close to our home, but all services are walking distance. We have a really good bakery, a butcher and several supermarkets all within 5 minutes walk. On Tuesday mornings there is a fruit & veggie market close by.
