General Overview
This is a gorgeous one-of-a kind, very unique architectural gem. Perched high on a mountain, it has phenomenal views of the Mad River Valley. It was built in the 1960's as part of an intentional community and architectural movement known as "Prickly Mountain." Just minutes from two fabulous ski areas, it is a wonderful ski getaway, for either downhill or cross-country. In the summer, there is hiking and mountain biking and crystal clear mountain streams and lakes. There are wonderful local restaurants with fresh local organic foods nearby. It is an inspiring and creative space to be in, perfect for a writer's or artist's retreat. There are a lot of stairs, so not great for toddlers or anyone with concerns navigating stairs.
