Neighbourhood

Vechelde is quite a large village with all the necessities. Restaurants and supermarkets, other shops and doctors, a library and an indoor swimming pool are 2 km away. Do you need a massage? There's even a Thai spa just a short walk away.

Nearest airport

The nearest airports are Hanover or Berlin, 1 or 2.5 hours by car.

Getting Around

In Vechelde you can get along very well on foot. There is a bus line that takes you through the village and to Braunschweig. And we live directly opposite the train station, in 10 minutes you are in Braunschweig, in 35 min. in Hanover, from there you can go anywhere. Trains run every 30 minutes in both directions. Public transport is really good in Germany, you don't need to buy tickets in advance (although it might be cheaper to do so). Car swap negotiable. We drive a Skoda Octavia from 2010.
