Neighbourhood

Vechelde is a quite large village with all necessities. You'll find restaurants and supermarkets, more shops and doctors, a library and indoor pool within in 2 km range. Need a massage? There is even a Thai Spa just a short walk away.

Nearest airport

Next airporta are Hanover or Berlin, 1 resp. 2,5 hr by car.

Getting Around

In Vechelde you get along very well by walking. There are a bus line which will take you through the village and to Braunschweig. And we live right across the train station, in 10 minutes you'll be in Braunschweig, in 35 min. in Hanover, from there you can go anywhere. Trains go every 30 minutes both ways. Public transportation is really good in Germany, you don't need to buy tickets in advance (though it might be cheaper to do so). Car exchange negotiable. We drive a 2010 Skoda Octavia.
