General overview
We have a 4 bed, 4.5 bath home in Müller, Albania, which is a quiet village outside of Tirana. The house is located in a quiet village about a 10 minute drive from Tirana. There is a market, bakery, and pizza place 10 minutes away on foot.
Albania is a gem. The local produce is inexpensive and delicious. Restaurants are inexpensive ($30-$35 for a family of 5). The people are friendly and helpful. The driving can be a little crazy, the roads can be rough, and you really never know what strange and interesting things you will see on a daily basis. There are cafes everywhere!
The space
The first floor consists of a well-stocked kitchen, and a living room with a 55 inch TV (Netflix). There is also a half bath and a bedroom with full size bed and ensuite bathroom (shower). The washing machine is also on this floor. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. Two of them have porches from which you can listen to the neighbors' chickens and watch the beautiful sunsets. One bedroom has a set of bunkbeds, another has a full size bed, and the third has a queen size bed.
We also have a basement with a large couch and projector. The projector can be hooked up to your laptop, and you can feel like you are in the movies! There is also a playroom with various toys and open space. There is a dehumidifier in the basement, which you may need to empty each day depending on the weather. It is typically not needed during the hot, dry summers.
There is a full size bed in the basement...we put the bed there because we had nowhere else to out it. It is not intended as a sleeping area because the basement is all open, but it can be used if you need more sleeping space.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house.
Notes
We have 3 indoor cats. If you don't like animals, this is not the place for you. Two of our cats are generally scared of adults and the third is a sweet cat that we adopted off the streets of Tirana.
This is not a good house for young children if you are worried about stairs or them falling over a railing.
We have toys and games.

Neighbourhood
This is a rural area with mostly houses. There is a new mosque very close, but the call to prayer is very quiet.
Getting to my home
Taking a taxi from the airport to our house is easy. You can also drive. We have parking for a car. Unfortunately we cannot loan our cars because they belong to our employer.
Nearest airport
Tirana International Airport is approximately a 30 minute drive depending on Traffic. A taxi ride is about $25 to our house.
Getting around
Shops, restaurants, and a big mall are all within a 10 minute drive.
I would highly recommend a car to be able to explore all that Albania has to offer.
