Neighbourhood
Our authentic mountain village is breath of fresh air! Our lowkey population of around 2,200 residents are blessed with a great variety of wonderful restaurants, interesting shopping and galleries with a keen eye on respecting our history. Red Lodge is at the foot of the rugged Beartooth and Absaroka Mountain ranges, a haven for nature lovers and active outdoor enthusiasts with limitless activities like hiking, flyfishing, nordic and alpine skiing many months a year, horseriding, whitewater kayaking and river rafting, bicycling, motorcycle touring and off-roading, camping, rodeo, and golfing. Our local ski resort, Red Lodge Mountain, offers terrific Rocky Mountain skiing without the queues or pretension of other resorts. We have more restaurants per capita than any town in our fine state, and are blessed with world class dining along with funky local joints and absolutely no chain restaurants or bigbox stores. We have an outstanding local brewery, and our community always finds a reason to celebrate. Our home on the golf course is in a very quiet neighborhood of many second homes so you will have plenty of privacy. It's a wonderful neighborhood for walking, bicycling or jogging while enjoying high mountain views. We have had several exchangers ask us to do repeated swaps so they could return to Red Lodge, and two of them (separately) have built homes and moved in within a mile of this house.
Nearest airport
Our closest commercial airports are Billings, Montana and Cody, Wyoming, each about one hour drive. Bozeman, Montana may have more flights and that’s about 2.5 hours drive.
Getting around
The main commercial area and quaint village main street is about one mile away. If you choose, you can park there and walk everywhere you’ll need to go including restaurants, cafes, live entertainment, a grocery store, and a gourmet food store.

People Like Us Local Guide
We love our little Montana village and activities across the region, and my husband spent (misspent?) much of his youth in Yellowstone Park and Cody, Wyoming area, so we would be pleased to share any information that would be helpful -- over coffee, a drink or a meal.
