Neighbourhood

Lennox Head’s position mid-way along the eastern coast of Australia is the perfect location to base yourself if you plan to journey out to explore more of this great land during your stay. Major transport links, including international airports, are within reach. To the Surfers from the Surfers: Genuinely world-class surfing, Lennox Head has a long, green, often hollow, consistent righthand point break. It is one of the few dedicated surfing reserves. The village, while known for its laid-back & friendly vibe, supports a vibrate beachside restaurant and cafe culture. Lennox Head is also famous for its beautiful Lake Ainsworth, a freshwater tea-tree dune lake, believed to possess medicinal qualities. The Lake is a popular spot for SUP, kayaking, swimming and picnicking. Walking/bike tracks suited to all levels are plentiful with some that run ocean-side for miles or through magnificent native bushland or rain forests. There's ocean, beach, river & rock fishing, horse riding on the sand, beach yoga, four-wheel driving, headland picnic areas & lookouts and gorgeous long white sand beaches, perfect for lazing in the sun. Waterfalls and swimming holes abound throughout the area and are available for you to explore. There’s fabulous shopping, markets & award winning restaurants, hotels (pubs & clubs), wineries / distilleries, live theatre, music festivals & concerts, whale watching, excellent gyms and a myriad of adrenalin sports such as hang gliding off Lennox Headland, hot-air ballooning, surf skiing, wind surfing, scuba diving and so much more - all on your doorstep. For those that like to party, Byron Bay hosts a thriving nightlife. The beach village includes a post office, hotel, bars, award winning restaurants, cafes, artisan & fashion boutiques, butcher, baker, health food supply stores, estate agents, dentists, doctors, chiro, physio, book shops, gift stores, opportunity shops, beautiful day spas, studios & surf shops where you can hire all manner of water activity equipment. There's also a major shopping Centre just 5 minutes west of the village. If you’re into celebrity spotting, you may get lucky & spot Thor (Chris Hemsworth) or his brother, Liam, enjoying an early morning surf or Matt Damon dropping his kids off to the local theatre.

Getting to my home

Getting here by air: Both international & domestic airports are close-by & are serviced by airport buses, private hire cars, taxis & ubers. The local airport offers direct flights to/from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra etc and connecting flights to all other major cities and regions. Lennox Head is a 5 minute detour off a major freeway, or you might choose to travel the Coastal route, just for the views.
